The A340E should work with your 7MGTE, assuming you have the necessary hardware. (i.e. converter, bellhousing, etc.)

I thought both auto's were the same. My mistake.

Degree, sorry for posting SM link on here. Didn't know that I wasn't allowed to.

Love it when two people with less than 100 posts between them start talking about things like auto trans in the Supra.

The turbo auto trans have extra plates in them, in 2 clutch packs.
The bell housings are the same.
You will need the GTE automatic ECU, and wiring harness to put a GTE into a non-turbo car.
The non-turbo auto trans will work just fine on the GTE-auto ECU, but the life will be shorter.

Either buy a doner car to get every thing needed out of, or sell the non-turbo car, and just buy a turbo.

Muscle cars, trucks, and tuner cars are all the same.
99% of all bolts have right hand threads.
They all need regular service, and be free of leaks, or parts being put on wrong.

As I told another member recently, if someone who claims to be good on an american pig-iron V8 can't put a Toyota together correctly, then they probably couldn't work on a V8 correctly either.........

Buy a genuine Toyota shop manual, and use it........

Gordon, you've been back on JZXProject since October, and active since February.
Since then you've managed to rack up 642 of the most subtly angry, hate-fueled, youth-loathing posts JZXP has ever seen.

    Nice work!
