    Question for those with ProEFI(Gauges)

I am about to finish up my car and have a quick question. I have the CAN gauge and am wondering if everyone ditched their old gauge setups for this one gauge? I was thinking of at least putting a boost gauge back in the car but it had me thinking that since the ProEFI does so much, it shouldnt be needed, correct? Just thinking outloud before I spend the time wiring in a couple of gauges that I really dont need.

All I have is the one can gauge. I sold off the defi gauges that I had because they were just clutter and useless. Another great feature of the ProEFI, it cleans up your interior lol.

The thing thats nice about the proefi with all of its fail safes you dont need to be looking at all the diffrent gauges all the time. Ive run nothing but the can.

assuming you have the color gauge, then ya thats all you need as it shows alot of info at once. I have the round gauge that only shows 1 param at a time, so i still have other guages that I keep an eye on as well.

I have the 52mm gauge along with boost, oil pressure and EGT. The proefi gauge replaced a fuel pressure gauge.

It would be different if I could find a place to fit the color CAN gauge.

I removed all of my gauges. With the fail safe setups my DIL or CEL flashes when something is outside normal acceptable parameters. If that happens, I can scroll through the gauge or hook up my laptop.

thats assuming your faults were properly setup or are unchanged from when you had the car at the shop. There is no end user adjustment for the faults once the car is home. I cant even check to see if my MIL turns on with a fault because I cant adjust of the parameters.

So the end user is totally locked out? So your telling me if the MIL comes on you can't clear or read the codes? What else is the end user locked out of?

Can you still change your 2step, target a/f, idle etc, traction control etc?

NO!! The next release of the consumer software (hopefully this month) will allow you to adjust the fault manager. Everything else you can adjust now!

I had the 52mm gauge and I kept my boost gauge. Generally I would keep the CAN gauge on AFR.

I've since swapped that out for the color display and may ditch my boost gauge and get my air vent back, I haven't driven the car with the new display yet so I can't give any impressions on that yet.

Luckily I have a dealer locally to me and my car has spent many hours on the dyno working out the faults. I've also tested the faults a few times

ya, Larry spent a good bit of time with my car, but it had a lot of gremlins, so only the basics were really covered. Since then, I have added sensors and narrowed in params. Cant wait for end user fault updates!! Once thats done, and a tire size switch, it will be all set for summer fun!

I just have the PRO EFI Can gauge. I ditched all of the others-the PRO EFI monitors everything for me. Oil pressure, EGT, boost, wideband, oil-all gone.
