Found their facebook page!! About to put it on blast! Wonder how long it will take them to delete the post? This is sad and I hate to see this happen to people who care about their car. They have no excuse for these actions. And they also deserve to either be taken down or reimburse you for your troubles. Work like this is dangerous.

I dont think he is going to have much of a defence from what is already displayed on the story. Cutting corners is cutting corners. The details that are shown in the pictures that the OP has already displayed for us to view are enough to convince anyone that this was just poor quality work.

new pics of the motor being pulled out!!

b4 the pics...here is a quick list of things to look for
-driveshaft about 2 inchs too short
-water clamps on power steering lines (was loose and leaking)
-missing nut on turbo flange (was i guess too hard to get too)
-exhaust manifold was missing 2 bolts, 2 of the remaining were loose
-5 different types of bolts on trans mount
-onlu one bolt, ONE, on the pass side of the transmission holding the trans to the trans mount....the one on the drivers side was missing
    -missing 2 bell housing bolts
-heater core clamps were finger tight
-radiator drain was finger tight (no idea how this didnt leak)
-when pulling motor, the passenger side motor mount FELL OFF! the drivers side was loose and only held on with 2 bolts

    on to the pics:
the JB welded fitting pulled out

for a i guess, cleaner look...he drilled out the rivet in the VIN tag to run a zip tie thru to hold the breather lines

he made sure he had that exhause as tight as possible didnt he!

    my power steering leak

this is where the drive shaft fits in the back of trans...this is how short it is...i think his measurments were a little off???

fuel lines zip tied to sub frame...sube frame was missing a bolt

zip tie attached to t-bolt clamp holding inner fender well up

this isnt THAT bad..but could have been cleaner...cut the bumper support up

missing bolts from mounts to motor

    on both sides

    bolt block off...

this is what held the trans to the trans mount...this ONE bolt (that was loose)

I'm really not one for slander, and the pictures you show, show that Travis feels that he got ripped. Which he did. Since that was your facebook post, I'll copy mine up here as well.

People mad because someone spent $16,000 on a car they couldn't drive? Wouldn't you be mad if you spent that on a $30,000 to begin with?

Anyways, here's my post... (If anyone wants pictures or videos of us taking the car apart, just let me know)

I'll try to keep this short and simple.

You guys seemed cool at first, except for the fact that the car didn't even START when we got there, My confusion between MAF and MAP on JDM 2JZGTE engines was because I was up for like 50 hours trying to fix your "turn key swap"

The 25psi pull that we did, THE ONE that we did, was because you guys didn't have the wastegate hooked up (Kind of important?)

The ceramic coating that was NOT ceramic coating, as said by TONY himself through an email or text message to Travis Maser that he can show you, said it was never ceramic coated, it was high heat paint. (Lie.)

Anyone who knows valve covers cross thread quickly.. (Do AN fittings do that too?)

As for the rush, it was dropped off in what September? (6 month "turn key" swap, awesome)

I don't know the difference between rod knock and valve tap? I asked you for a spanner wrench when I was adjusting Travis Maser's suspension, and you looked at a Tire tool, a spanner wrench, and a set of wheel spacers and it took you a few seconds to figure it out.. (not pointing the finger, but ?)

The alternator didn't die because of the dead battery, that battery was on charge for what like 4 hours? (I Have pictures of that too)

My "shitty" rich tunes were like that because no matter what I did to the SAFC, the car didn't respond.. (Probably because the SAFC was wired in wrong, by Shifted Performance)

I laughed and said "if you only knew how many times I've done that" just to make you guys not feel so stupid.

The power steering pump bracket was on, and made by you guys yeah, in the pictures it's a ziptie, that Travis put on it, because the bolt you guys put on, didn't hold, it wasn't in the right spot, and it probably wasn't tightened down correctly (Like every other bolt on the car)

FYI, 26 is the new middle aged man age (Why thank you, this is why 20 year olds don't run shops ;-) )

Car didn't seem to have a miss when we were driving it (Aren't coils supposed to last more than like 300 miles? No? Damnit)

As for megasquirt, autotune is amazing. Ask anyone who does it.. It's not because I can't tune (especially when wires are backwards), it's because it's pretty much failsafe (A word you should look into)

Also, I'm not stupid. I'd never claim a 7m to be a better motor than a 2jz (Are you serious?)

Little to no knowledge of the depths of the build? (You guys made it fit, good job)

How many times did you guys tell Travis "one more week", and how were you going to road test a car you couldn't start?

Full grown children lol.. (No real point, just thought this was funny coming from a 12 year old)

Travis had his gun on him (which he is permitted to carry) because WE WERE IN JERSEY BRO

FYI Maxing out boost on a GT40r, isn't 25psi. (Do some research, kid)

Us idiots, at NSN Garage, will show ya what it was SUPPOSED to look like once we rebuild it (in our playground of course, after our naps)

    STAY TUNED!

ALSO, We have one bad review, yours... You have quite a few, might wanna check the forums pal

Bottom line is, Travis spent $16k on the car, and can't drive it.

And seriously, can I please have the other bolts you didn't put in the car? (Oh yeah, we have pictures of that too!)

Travis gave you guys the chance to fix all this, and you guys stopped answering phone calls.. The reason we left jersey kind of happy is because we had the car finally.. It wasn't until we got back that we saw the kind of work you guys actually did. That's when it got different. There's NO excuse to have motor mounts not tight, or the transmission mount have one bolt in it.. the pictures speak for themselves. period.

That sucks, and I couldn't wait to see the finished product I wish you the best luck in getting it right so you can enjoy the car before winter gets here.

Wow shifted performance FTL you guys should be shut down, you say that he rushed you, my car was down a total of 4 months and now my car is running great not to mention we only worked on my car Saturday nights and a couple Sunday's thrown in as well. You had how long to work on his car not to mention its your job so really you had the time to work on it everyday of the week if you chose to. That's all I have to say good luck in the future Travis

You know what's funny, no matter how much someone rushed me, I wouldn't do a half assed job, I don't care who is the person rushing, if he was rushing you so bad, you should have stopped working on the car and said that you didn't feel up to the task in the allotted time, but instead you performed a hack job and there is no excuse for cutting corners wheatger you were rushed or not

Pro Tip: Slander is spoken, libel is written.

Also, for future reference, a PA carry permit isn't worth the paper it's printed on if you are in NJ.

posted by the mech. doing the rebuild:

Well today I finished the tear down on the engine. (Please make sure your seat is in the upright and locked position)

Cyl. # 3 Rod bearing blown. beyond O.C. But thank god the crank isnt to bad off. A good polishing and it can be saved without being cut..

All rod bearing are over torqued. It took more then 110lbs to crack them loose. (Toyota specs are 22 ft lbs mark and go another 90 degrees)

While removing the cylinder head I found a EXTRA ARP 12pt nut & flat washer wedged in the oil return galley.

Also I had to remove the studs to take the head off for a couple reasons. Reason #1 3 studs would not come out of the head while unbolted. while loosing these studs they worked like screw jack and lifted the head off the block. Once off the block and on the bench I had to take a BFH (Big Frickin Hammer) and tap the studs out of the head. They must have over torqued them too and mushroomed the bolt holes in the head to pinch it to the studs. Reason # 2. Spray on gasket sealer on a M.L.S. metal gasket.

Now its time to start dropping parts in to the cleaning tanks, Machine shop time, and the dreaded waiting for parts to arrive.

Stay tuned.... More info to come..... Same Bat time...same bat channel.

They posted a long responce saying I was a spoils child and everything was my fault because I "rushed" them... Even tho they had the car "done" and "tuning" with the GT35R a month before I went to pick up my car... They had 2 full weeks to install my 4088r...and failed to do so...

I have the responce if anyone missed it

Why was the block even opened up, or head taken off? The factory gasket, untouched, is more than strong enough for just about anything you can throw at it. Also, why where the rod bolts touched? Again, not necessary.

Travis, you should create a sig that is comprised of a link to this thread. You're a bigger man that I. Dunno if you started talking to a civil attorney yet, b/c as a shop, he should be licensed and bonded, i.e., he should be covered in the event of a lawsuit, which I would hope is coming his way.

The delicious irony of this thread of his from last year calling out Titan b/c of cam gears arriving late and being told, "3 more weeks, 3 more weeks" *lol*

    http://www.supraforums.com/forum/sho...-on&highlight=

And this one from a couple years ago requesting some help with, of all things, a shifter extension *lol*

    http://www.supraforums.com/forum/sho...ion&highlight=

Check out all the posts started under his user name. Some of them, and the questions asked, left me smh. Especially when a lot of the questions are, "what do you guys think" about this, that, the other. Indicative that he might not be all that he indicates he is.
