Should have made it possible to view voters to make sure Awardabe,Yesican , and Gottahat are not voting too.
This shouldn't even fucking be a question. Its the SUPRA nationals meet. It's one thing for others to show up in different cars, but as for them participating in any event that's stupid. Were not the melting pot of cars. Its for Supras so why don't we keep it that way? Maybe other Toyota's with a 5m 6m 7m, 1g, 1j,or 2j would be acceptable but that's about it. SUPRA or gtfo!

IMO, if you're going to add some off topic cars as we did in '10, I suggest picking them by having them email you with the picture of the car. This way, you can get nice cars and weed out some of the less quality. This will also control the amount of non Supras you get at the show.

Glad you importmeet guys decided to join suprafourms to vote.
It should be clarified that this vote has nothing to do with Importmeet.com. It has to do with other cars (non supras) invited to participate in the Supra nationals. Maybe matt should change the title to reflect that as I dont think anyone has any issues with importmeet.com or any of its members. Strictly a event issue
I voted 'No'.
I dont know how to do that from a phone
There were a few non Toyota's in 2010, and I don't think it negatively impacted the show. I think we need to project an image of acceptance to the entire import community and we want as many people as possible coming out (to the Show n Shine, anyway) to appreciate the machines we all love.
That being said, when I want to be at an all import car show, I go to an ImportMeet.com carshow. If this thing ends up being a Honda/Nissan fest with people coming to "show up the Supras", it's gonna suck ballz.
IF (and that's a mighty big if) you're going to allow out-of-the-family entrants to participate in any aspect of the event, there shouldn't be more than one non-'yota for every 20 Supras you have. And those that you DO allow in need to be something extra special. A civic with nothing but euro tails and a strut bar has no business participating in this event AT ALL.
That's my take on things.

I voted and at this point I'm going to try very hard to stay out of the whole event controversy. I disagree with some of the choices the organizers have made, but I have no intention of trying to plan a meet. Good or bad, hoestabe and shay are stepping up when others wouldn't. Good or bad I thank them for their efforts and I'm sure they'll learn a lot and hopefully they won't be discouraged from doing this again.
For future supra events I feel it should be surpas only. Let this one play out and have a good time.
Plain and simple, what is the point of having a 'Supra meet' if other car forums are allowed to join in? If you want to see other cars go to HIN, Global Import Show etc. You have to protect the purity of the Supra meets.
Thanks Nate. I agree with most of you. I haven't been doing the inviting other than past attendees and Facebook. Ya we've had some non supras but they have either or have been in the family with previous supras or been around us for a while. This IS supposed to be a SUPRA meet, or at least supra powered. Honestabe where you at?
I'm here, watching...
Let's close this thread. The point has been made and the situation resolved. Let's have a great meet.
Just for reference, some vanpool fags showed up to the centralia meet and fucked up our style. Event was practically ruined.

I bet they were invited. No big deal just give them a trophy
I'm going to play devil's advocate here and air my thoughts on the matter. I've kept out of all the child's play thus far, and intend to keep it that way from here on out.
My opinion...if you start inviting others outside the Supra family, you open yourself up to the type of ass-hatry that's becoming the norm in Texas. Don't want your meet publicized as a DB gang bang on Jalopnik?? Keeping it in the family might be the best way to do so.
Stabe, Shay, and others...keep up the hard work! You've been doing surprisingly well in some pretty hostile territory. Kudos!![]()

Okay, I voted yes for one reason only. This reason being that whoever with a NON-Supra vehicle wants to come is hand chosen by the organizing committee (like Duane suggested). This way only the best non-supra vehicles are INVITED to the meet. Anybody else who wants to come to the meet (WITHOUT invitation) MUST be a Supra or a Toyota of some sort with a M-Series or JZ-Series engine.

I have been through the thread here, on SM and ImportMeet.com. I vote 'Yes' they should be invited, anyone has the right to show up to check out our cars at the S&S, WATCH the dyno, and race at the track (its an open track after all). Should they be invited to participate in the dyno and cruise or eligible for awards? Other that those mentioned above (members with other car types, those who have been involved in the community, ect) No. I don't think telling others that they can't come to our little party and sounding like we are elitists is a good thing for anyone including the community, we all share a common interest after all.........except those honda guys
Sounds like this has been resolved thought so Looking forward to the meet... I'v been out of it for a while.
TWINS!
I don't think they see them selves as "elitists" they just own supras and want to have a good time, no BS showing up to the meet or conflicting problems that couldn't be easily solved( don't trust strangers), didn't NWN have a issue with cars getting vandalized at golden gardens before? I personally don't like pictures being using without permission(bad exp), but then again i don't own a worthy opponent anyway...
personally i dont care at all except on the drag race day because more cars means less runs..... nom saiyan?
besides that i love looking at nice builds and projects even if theyre ratbagged. i can see the hidden gems within.
and that generally makes the locations of teh event more cool and the deals better when it comes to hotels, food, etc. and more variation of food and prizes.
like tx2k only not like tx2k12 which was horse fecal diluted.
