if it isnt air in the system and everything else you say is true, its either a bad gauge/sender, or a bhg.

Are you sure your radiator is ok? I had the same problem and it was caused by the radiator.
There were some very tiny holes/cracks in it which did let any water/coolant through. But the system was filled with crap. Even though the water kept flowing through the whole system, it overheated my car once.

After I flushed it, the problem was gone. In the end I replaced it with a 7MGTE radiator due the cracks.

you say fans are working right? I also was over heating with working fans because fans were blowing in the wrong direction. I switched the direction and didnt over heat. I also removed thermostat

I assume you have the stock fan? With the fan clutch mechanism? Make sure the fan clutch is engaging. Just looking at the fan spin around doesn't mean the clutch is engaged and fully spinning the fan. I've heard of folks thinking the fan was ok, then sticking a newspaper (be careful here) into the fan blade while spinning, and the fan blade stops, meaning the clutch is not fully working. Just a thought, good luck!

Oh, you sure not too much timing advance?
