Wow, I wish I had that one sitting in my garage right now. That is a nice motor. Clean and rust free as far as I see.

I would pay less for it than one made for the USDM market.

If you were going to go single, no reason not to use the JDM motor.

I know that the place that I get them from is $5800 ish for a 0 mile 2jz-gte with 3yr/unlimited mile warranty
Supra could be Turbo or N/A
Can't remember what mods I have either; its probably stock with a new relocated carbon fiber blinker fluid overflow tank

    speaking of new motors...

Speaking of complete motors for sale, there is a brand new 2jz-gte for sale on ebay right now. I believe it comes with stock turbos and everything, and the guy is asking for $10,000 buy it now price. I'm sure it will sell for cheaper.

If he wants $10k for a stock one, I'd opt to pay the $7k for a race block from Titan.

    303:

Yeah, thats for the complete engine with warranty, not just the shortblock.

    Mav7:

Yeah, I also like have its a $25,000 engine. Yeah, Maybe if you bought a complete supra, took out the engine, and junked the rest of the car. Plus it already has miles on it...

WiReDiCoN you have been most helpful. And yes, im wondering about the WHOLE engine, not just the shortblock.

Quick - If you were going to go single, no reason not to use the JDM motor.

Please Explain. Is it cause the 2jz-gte motor is designed for twin turbos only? Im pertty new to supras, and i would love to be the owner of one in the future, so bear with me fellows.

    thanks again.

sourpatchkid -- check the faq section and do a search for JDM vs USDM JZA80 Supra differences.

The main differences are the turbos and lack of EGR in the JDM version.

The lack of EGR is a good thing according to some, and if you're going single, then who cares about the turbos?

    HTH.

The other reason I think Quick mentioned if you were going single and there being no reason not to use the Jspec motor is

    1. Jspec turbo's use ceramic turbine blades, whereas the US spec uses steel. End result, too much boost on the Jspec (ceramic blades) and they run the risk of melting. The US are MUCH more resistance to the added heat with more boost.
Another think to note, the jspec turbo's seem to spool up a bit quicker and seem a bit torquier (sp) due to the lightness of the ceramic blades. But, your going to get rid of those anyways, right

    2. The jspec GTE motor comes with 430cc (High impedance) injectors, and the US model comes with 540cc (low impedance) injectors. Moreover, when going single your choices are limited on high flow (high impedance) injectors, you may want to wire in the US solenoid resistor for the low impedance injectors. Going single will allow you to dump those little squirters on the stock motor

    Good luck
