Thanks Zazzn, once again for helping out ! Peter Blach and a few of the big boys have questions and request for the sheets over in the dyno tuning section, could you work your magic & attach/post over there too ? Smiley isn't home from work yet but he'll probably answer some questions when he gets home !

it does look like it on the 800 RWHP one as you can see the dip from it shutting off.

I have no details though. I'm very impressed though.

why should he be prepared to post SAE numbers. The guy didnt give a crap what anyone on this board thought before and I am pretty sure he still doesnt. He was convenced by a friend to post it and so he did. God I hate this BS when someone does some hard work and then decides to share. Those are great numbers no matter how they are plotted. Hell every dyno reads different it doesnt matter how you convert it. Good work smiley keep it up.

John, I read in the other thread that this is a white car... Any chance this is the same white car that stopped by TPS the day they had their Supra meet??

Pulling my 7M this weekend and am about to buy a clip. Hopefully before the end of the year, I'll have it up and running and tuned. See what kind of numbers I can pull from the T-61 I have!!

Don't be a stranger man, we still meet up every Friday at Jersey Mikes. We even have our own website.... snapoffracing.com/forums

First of all, John...I think you just opened a BIG can of worms...many people wont be able to get a full night sleep after knowing that a basiclly stock 1JZ engine (for the exception of cams) can do this numbers but also to know that this sheets are NOT the highest hp sheets for this particular car.

Also for those thinking about getting details of the setup, its not going to happen either. THis car is been arround for MANY MANY MANY years, and the point of posting this sheets is NOT for Smiley, to try and glorify him self, but to show those who might be considering the swap but are not sure, that IT IS possible and it doesnt take a million dollars or a rocket scientist.

If anyone doubts the capabilities of the car, I know he would be willing to race anyone for the right price. DO NOT expect him to show up at a supra gathering and dyno in front of a crowd, because he likes to keep certain details in the dark, that way noone duplicates what has costed him many years of research and obviously some good $$.

I got off the phone with him a while ago, and he told me that he will post some info about the car. But I suggest all the "BIG BOYS" that doub't the numbers to get your pockets ready and your keys in hand so u can witness as close as phisycs permit, the so called "umbeliavable #s".

Those are some big numbers, don't get me wrong... for any motor, but that has to be the worst powerband I have ever seen in my life. Makes power from 5000 and dies or lets of at 7000. If he could rev it a little higher to maybe 8000-9000 it might be worth it, otherwise I'd try a smaller turbo. 2000 rpms of useable power. Not my cup of tea, but impressive non the less!

I am quite sure that he can rev his motor higher, he probably has 272 cams and has a very strong and long power band just didnt stay on it for the dyno

madd props on the dyno numbers....

btw.....look at his 3rd graph and the hp is still climbing at a strong rate, had he reved to 8200 or 9k i'm sure he would hit the 9xx mark....and from the sounds of it he already has been there

The reply,
SAE will give us a better indication of what the car did across the board. This way people across the country can get a number closer to what they could make. Now when you post stuff up dont always expect praise. Expect people to ask questions! Take it from me been there done that. Long ago son! Congrats smiley those are great numbers. By the way "Convenced" is spelled convinced. To my knowledge that word doesnt exist.

Who would have known that Smiley's Dyno sheets
would have created such a stir!!

It seems to me that some people cannot & will not
except STD #'s as an official dyno reading !

when did that happen? It's seems inflatted some people
say! simple solution ! subtract some HP way from the
STD reading ... WALLA! You have your SAE #

264 cams give the 1j the best and broadest powerband esp with a 9.3 lift

This may be debateable.

I have a set of the HKS 264 E/I cams new in the box for sale along with the 272 E/I new in the box. I have a set of 272 in the car and yea the power is linear, but that could be attributed to the twin SC61 turbos as opposed to a big single.

Smiley has accomplished a great deal with his car on the dyno and gets "Big Ups!" from me. Great to see someone has paid his dues and is reeping the reward of hard work. Try not to be quick to bash folks and see if he can offer some others a help up in hp. JMO.
