For Sale forums trouble? Info in here.

Wanted to know, cause there seems to be a lot of them posting threads that are not
being taken down.

Just asking.

We don't but at least they are contributing something then just selling their crap. And usually by the time you are around for a while you meet people that can vouch for you. I mean if someone with 0 post had someone known to be legit to vouch for them then sure why not let them post and I think they are allowed too if they talk to a mod "which is in the rules."

so you are sure someone who has no posts has junk parts compared to someone with 1000 posts.. ok.. believe it or not some people new to the forums have some nice parts to sell. this "rule" forces people to contribute useless information on others threads just to be able to post there own f/s thread

Never said junk parts. Please reread.

Overall. If you don't like the rules then get out of here.. Simple as that. I have nothing more to say.

He means, you join just to sell your parts. NOt to be an active member. Those are
the rules, deal with it, go contribute.

Believe it or not, some people's first post here are in the for sale section.
HELLO !?!? Who are you ?

Anyone can join, post pics of "CRAP" they don't have and try to make a quick buck.
To scam guys who are here to expand the community. The rules are there just like
the laws you abide by in life....like or leave. your choice.

B

ps: you see that 49 beside my itrader, and my 2390 posts count ? that's from contributing here.
I had to, so should everyone else.

ok and whats the problem with people joining just to sell parts as long as they are legit and will help someone else out, thats a pretty big contribution to this website i would think????

and who cares if there first post is a fs thread, you think you know someone you talk to on these forums after 100 posts??? doubtful

anyone can post replys to threads and get there count up regardless and still be a scammer so everything you just mentioned is just ridiculous. if you think people dont post useless comments to post fake fs threads you live in a fantasy land

i could care less about your i trader number,. and if my only way to contribute to this forum is to sell my parts then that shouldnt be a problem as long as the people im selling to are happy. im pretty sure everyone would agree with me

some people just enjoy driving there cars, dont know how to fix em and when they have used parts they just want to get rid of em. so how could someone like that possibly contribute to the forum otherwise??? go itno the body kit section and comment on body kits?? pointless

the overall point here is..... the people who do come to sell parts that ARENT scammers and are noobs have to suffer because the moderators think having a certain number of posts will cancel out the people who really want to scam??? if ebay cant stop scammers supraforums sure as hell cant

Then sell your items on Ebay. We have rules here for a reason---for you to follow them. Everyone else obeys them, and you have to as well. If you don't like the rules, just find a different website to sell your things at.

If you don't understand why there is a rule to post a FS ad then there is no point in explaining it to you. A lot of people join the site just to scam people, if you can't deal with a simple rule, or know someone that can vouch for you, then tough shit. The rule is in place BECAUSE a lot of people have been scammed by noobs.

The rules make perfect sense. The chances of blocking scammers/trolls is greatly increased when you make a post requirement. Posts only increase when members post in certain areas of our site. Some scammer is not going to waste his time building a post count just to fuck someone out of a deal---he will find another site where he can just join, make a quick scam FS post, and move on to the next site. Of course, our post requirement works. Use your head. Can we block all scammers with post counts over 100? Not immediately. However, we sure do block the gazillion others who try.

If he keeps posting like he has been recently, he will only find himself booted off the site. Nobody likes smartassed newbies that think they can just join our website and start bitching about what they don't agree with.

Problems Submitting For Sale Thread

Hello,

Every time I have attempted to submit my MKIV For Sale Thread I am redirected to a page reading:

"No thread specified. If you have followed a valid link, please contact a administrator"

I provided all necessary information, my feedback is perfect, Ive been a member for longer than 3 years and I qualify to sell parts here.

Therefore I am assuming this is not a personal issue, but rather a site issue which is why I am posting here now.

Please let me know how to correct this problem.

-Alex

Nevermind. Sorry for the thread, search option wasnt working and I discovered that this may happen due to too many pictures or a long title.

ditto - it appears to be a bug with the forum software after reading the VBB forums... I'm not a VBB administrator but it appears to be a problem with the forms function.

Thanx for your reply. It did let me sell parts before, with all respect it would have been fair if this new rule applies to new members and exempt old members!! (Grandfather Clause)

Thank You
