What is it with those saying some are bitching about the fact of their disliking this garage project? Why can there not be some who don't care for it and speak about roots and history of an American classic? This site is nothing but a spot on the big map and half the people posting only know of American muscle through magazines and old history channel movies. Hard to understand what American muscle car history is being born some 15, 20 years later.
This car was made for attention plain and simple or to be different ( a show car ). This thread is proof of that. Hater's as some are called is still attention in any way of looking at it. Has this car been posted on Domestic sites? Just wondering the feed back if it has. It is not small minded typical domestic owners as one person stereotyped it in here. Think smarter than that and know it might just have to do with the country you live in. The roots and history behind the car. That fact that a decade before the car was made we were in WW II with Japan. So more like a slap in the face is more like it. Again hard for generations later to grasp and I bet are totally not grasping this either. So could be a lot of driving forces. Just throwing that out there. The Chevy motor that came with the car is far far better than a JZ for the streets when money is no object. We all know these JZ motors with 74mm turbo's and up are dogs on the street unless you hammer it to 6000 rpms from light to light and spin the crap out of the tires every time. Now that's what every real car enthusiast wants to drive huh? Regardless the Chevy TQ curve is unmatched and TQ is street driving. People can toss around numbers all they want. Point still is, no benefit at all with this motor over the one that came with the car. But step backwards yes ( when money is no object ). Unless again attention is what we seek or just being different. Someone tried to throw out there that the Camaro came with a straight six at first production. This is correct, but very misleading when you leave out the rest of the information needed here to make more sense. The car was a test and they wanted sales. It had opitions as well for that very same car in it's first year of production 1967. Quote:
So at the end, I have no personnel issues with this kit car being made. I just don't care for those that seem to not have a drooling opinion getting bashed as haters. When it's clearly deeper than that and that too should be respected. Good luck with your project. Your other cars posted look awesome to say the least...........

great work on the camaro.
would have liked to see a big block chev in the camaro because NOTHING in the world sounds better.. and theres nothing like driving something with 500+ cubes lighting up the tires on command at any rpm. no problems with LS1's in 1st gen camaros either because it is a chevy motor and a V8. when you think of a muscle car, you generally think of a torquey 5.7 liter V8 motor and larger |

hmmm... interesting thread... I am suprised I am now just seeing this.
I think for most people that do these type of swaps, it is for the personal pleasure of knowing that you can do it when it is finished. Not my kind of thing but definately something I will watch out for to see the finish. |

Very nicely done, but this is analogous to the Amphi cars selling at Barrett Jackson. Theres 10 people in the world that would pay 50k for one and 10 Million that would pay a grand for it and part it out.
I'll give you 5k for it the way it sits! Last edited by superfan; 01-15-2008 at 03:24 PM. |

I'm confused as to what the "1st" is? First what?
Turbo 1000hp 1g camaro like the title says? No. Very nice car though, crazy project.
