The design looks cool (from what you could see) and the supposed specs sound tempting, but I'm sure Bugatti and those who are able to buy such cars care little about what JH is up to. There are a few small companies that have built Veyron beaters, or at least challengers but you never hear about them. He'd be hard pressed to create a car that has the same performance, quality, style, and comfort as the mighty Bugatti.

It doesn't matter what color, N/A or TT, auto or 6sp, whatever. I get shivers each time I pick up a car cover and look at one, or see one driving down the street. It's hard to explain, but I've not had this kind of utter love for any other car no matter what the brand. - WrenchWhore |

Look at it this way. Your car runs a bit slower then a Veyron. Just because it goes as fast do you see yourself putting the two in a similar class. I'd be curious to see not only the speed but reliability, luxury, high-speed stability, ease of use and safety factors when comparing the two.

The veyron does nothing for me. I would rather have an F430 and it will probably please me more. If JH is over parting out his customers' vipers, etc then i say its good hes trying to take out that car.

Not knocking on you here, but have you ever sat or seen the Veyron in person, let alone drive it or the F430. Or are your opinions based strictly on looks.

the veyron really isn't an oustanding performer IMO. sure it does 250mph but it takes a while to get there. it doesn't corner particularly well for a car that costs as much as it does. its really not worth the money at all to buy.

Sat in the veyron, drove an F430 F1. The Veyron did not do anything for me. I have seen a few in person. Do not get me wrong, its a nice car. But i would not plunk cash on it.

Something tells me that there will be no testing of Hennesy cars in the deserts of Africa or on the frozen lakes of norther Europe. There will be no long distance testing at sustained high speeds. It will not be the ultimate GT car. BTW this reminds me of the Cobalt v. M5 thread just below. Same arguments apply here, just on a grander scale. Last edited by Ascari_2; 11-01-2007 at 07:03 PM. |

So it's going to be an expensive kit car with a huge engine and lots of hp that's going to be really fast in a strait line and nothing else? *yawn*

And go to numerous SRT boards and search for his name and you'll be reeling from the horror stories.

So yeah...there's no way in the world I would trust JH to provide me with a car after ripping several people off. Even if it was a rumor, I'd stay away, just because that's not how I do business. That's like Gemballa, they're another company that would never get my money (should I get some
).

You can't just think that because you build TT Vipers, all of a sudden you can fucking build a car of the caliber of the Veyron. As much as people in here despise that car, it is a marvel...and it might not have the soul of a Ferrari or a Lamborghini, but compared to anything from JH, it'll have much more soul.

The thing is that nobody will be patient, because chances are, nobody gives a rat's ass. Saleen didn't have a bad reputation before he got big, man.
