C6 z06 or SRT10 Viper
2004-2005 Viper SRT10 convertible
2005-2006 Corvette Z06 Both used. Which would you choose and why? The big cons of the viper imo are 1. its a dodge and 2. the absolutely crappy interior Looks and sound-wise the viper is TEH SEX keep in mind this is NOT the 600hp viper. |

C6 Z06
I think it looks great, has decent power and even gets good mpg. I'd love to have one myself, but need a backseat occasionally. |

Z06, because if I wanted a car without a roof then I would go properly all out and get something made from the start to cruise with the top down.

^If it were a coupe, that might change things. Z06 vs. convertible is a no-brainer for me, especially being a big Chevy fan.

Z06. Better overall car. Quite a bit faster in a straightline. Lighter, better gas milage. Lookswise Id nod towards the Viper because the Z06 looks too much like the regular Vette but it looks good. I really like the Z06 especially in black dropped just looks nasty. Neither interior is first class but the Z06 is better and more livable for everyday driving. Cant go wrong with either but I believe the Z06 is the better of those two choices.

I love the new Z06, have been seeing way more around North Texas.
Very menacing in every color. |

No question...Z06 unless having a rarer car is ultimately more important to you. If you plan to use the car for mixed use, I'd also frown on the Viper but there is no denying that the Viper has more "wow" appeal and is a hell of a machine too.

For really driving the car hard and twisting track use etc, ZO6. Drag the Viper is a great platform as well as the ZO6.
For a car that grabs more attention, get the Viper. I still can't believe how bad the interior is on a Viper for the cost. Yes it is meant to be a nice and fast car which it is...but it's ok to not have a climate control that looks like it came from a Neon. |

another vote for the Vetter, especially after seeing this video -
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/f...fe00ac49cc.htm Description: Although we are talking about stock cars, it's a 920 hp supercharged Corvette with the guy just cruising around and getting on it a few times. |

I voted for the Z06. I would take a Viper coupe over the Z06, but not the convertible.

are we also forgetting there is no '05 Z06? So which are you looking for a C6 or a C5? I am assuming a C6?

I never considered the SRT10s because of the MSRP on them but theyre not priced half bad used. Theyre actually cheaper than the used c6z's that im seeing. The cost of ownership on the viper does seem a bit steeper than the c6z seeing how it gets worse mpg, 2 more cylinders for virtually the same power stock, and who knows what type of things break on the dodge. the reason why i considered the SRT10 convertible instead of the coupe is because im buying this car when i move back to California and the z06 doesnt have a convertible (nor would it look good) or a sunroof. The Viper and SL55 AMG are the 2 only good looking convertibles in my eyes. Im having a really hard time looking past the interior of the viper :/ although it is a more appealing car than the z06 I'm not TOO concerned about the speed/power of each machine because let's face it...theyre both 500hp which is a ton of power to begin with. Whichever i choose will not be my daily driver so im not too concerned about the mpg actually. maybe i should go compare insurance rates :X

As much as I love the C6Z, I'd prob go for the SRT-10. I love the look of the vert, and with some 19/20 Forgelines, Motons and the possibility of taking it for a ride down to UGR for a little massage, I can't go wrong.

Having a rare car his a huge point in my "sport" car purchases so I'd go for the Viper. I mean what can take out a 8.0L twin turbo....

Hard to decide among the two cars but the viper has a little more of the "IT" factor in looks.
