Thumbs up Finally, She runs on her own!

After buying a car that was not in running condition. I finally got her running. Ya she ran on the engine dyno fine, but not with the factory harness and with a few minor changes that caused me lots of grief since I have no idea what "stock" was in the first place. With much help from John Reed and Tim with their MoTeC parts and expert knowledge I got her running last night. She started up with barely two revolutions. I'm confident enough to take her to work tomorrow morning

You can't tell from these pictures but the engine was running...

http://www.norcal1320.com/gallery/di...bum=218&pos=66

So of course I took some videos of her camming away ...

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/M...ife_154676.htm

I also have a tailpipe shot but that's currently being uploaded to streetfire.

Again, many thanks to John. He's got mad skillz and thanks to Cummins for pulling out that mad alky kit!

Sick!!

Nice!!!! Where is the engine dyno in Northern Cali? How much did it make on the engine dyno? Also, is that your Trac light on? I was just wondering if this has anything to do with having the Motec in?Do you plan to make it go away?

Thanks

Congrats Chris, glad to hear it is up and running! You have really had to sort out a lot of small stuff but it will be awesome when it is done. I need to post a picture of that sweet alky kit! LOL

The engine dyno is in So. Cal. His name is Ken Duttweiler. He's the same guy that's been hopping up turbo motors for years. He even did a few of Titan's motors

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/i...tor_153509.htm

Yup, I think that is the trac light. I gotta "Reed" up on how to disable the light

While hanging out with Chris, Cummins and I were looking at the meth install under the hood of his new Supra project and we both started to get a nervous twitch looking at the mess. As soon as Chris was preoccupied with something else, we started cutting wires and following lines till we found the source of the system (a gem of an install):

None of this was done by Chris, and he has done a wonderful job cleaning the car up. I can't wait to see it when it is done!

Yes it was his car. After going through the car with a fine tooth comb, I found out one of the ground wires to one of the pumps fell off...probably contributing to the blown piston.

It's a 3.0 with a stock crank, carillo rods, HKS cams, JE pistons built and dynoed by Ken Duttweiler. I'm in N.Cali.

Talking

At least it has a cap so I don't also get pulled over for having an "open container of alcohol" LOL

I almost rolled on the floor when Pat and John were checking out and commenting on the "craftsmanship" .

Ya John and I were dying. That hose ran forever it was like a 20 foot piece of fuel line hose! The nozzle looked like some blow off valve type of thing but it had wires coming out of it. I pointed to it and said to John, "WTF is that thing?" He said, "I have no idea I've never seen anything like that." So we proceeded to rip it out because it was bugging us. The wiring was also connected with twist connectors, the type that you use in home electrical wiring. I found about 6 of these connectors just in the meth wiring. The hose and wiring ran around 3 full sides of the engine bay, through the passenger fender, down the plastic side trim in the passenger side interior, underneath the carpet to the passenger seat, came out of the carpet where the stock amplifier is, the hose ran through the cardboard box and into the jug laying in the back seat as shown in the picture, the wiring went underneath the center console to a red flip type toggle switch in the dash and was also tied together with said twist connectors.

So John and I ripped it all out and it went like like, "Cut this.....ok now pull......where the fuck does this thing go?........cut .......pull......WTF is this shit?.......cut.....pull......HAHAHHAHAHAHHA .......OMG ......... cut.......pull......HOLY SHIT.........cut......pull.......LOOK AT THE CUSTOM CARDBOARD METH CONTAINER.... .....HAHAHAHAHA.......cut........pull...........ok done lets take a picture of it and post it on supraforums!"

Pure craftsmanship at its finest!!!
