finally found myself a notchback 5.0. (PICS)
I finally found a decent 5.0 5 speed coupe. It's black on grey and a 1993. paid $4.9k. I'm 3rd owner and it's got 140k miles. It's got a few issues(drivers seat shot, needs paint) but everything else is what I wanted and it's also got some good mods. mods are ported & polished GT-40 heads with big valves(done 20k miles ago),c&l mass air, fms throttle body, cobra intake, fluidyne alum rad, pullies, bbk longtube headers, high flow cats and flowmaster cat back. also has 3.73s and alum driveshaft. also dyno tuned (265 rwhp, 300rwtq). should be good for low 13s. anyways, here's the pics....

Now when you say black on grey? Did you mean for the grey to be the spots wher the paint faded? Is that like snow camo?
JK lol Nice car. If you were the one that posted that other one you looked at the other month, then this was deff a much nicer car

I'm a closet notch fan. Looks real clean.

The only color combo acceptable for the notch
Please don't make it flat black...it will be played out in a year. Gloss black is timeless.

That front bumper's been replaced. Overall looks like a good foundation, though the price is a little high.

If it's a solid car that's a good price. Did you check the torque boxes? Also, I would say go with S-trim. Keep it in the 12's any faster and you'll start breaking stuff. Make it a nice cruiser with some fresh paint and chrome 17" Pony R wheels and call it a day.

That Car is Nice!! What are your plans? ...there is a video on streetfire of a turbo'd fox... it sounds pretty sick. Stock 5.0 (bottom end) with 8psi

I have owned a handful of 5 liters Mustangs, never a notch though. Always liked them, but they were a bit harder to find in good shape. I don't think that fron bumper was replaced either....they were always a bit screwy in fitting and paintwork (at least in the ones I have seen over the years). 5.0 resto has some nice parts to restore the interior and exterior on that beast. Congrats on the purchase.

I am absolutely not a Mustang fan whatsoever, but I give props to that specific model. After the recent Bullitt edition, that is about as cool as they get in my book. Nice find.

Turbo 331. It is actually cheaper to go turbo than SC if you look in the right spots. I posted the link already, but www.ponydown.net.
