    Chassis - seam welding

    Hi guys,

My car is completely stripped at the moment.

I wondered if it would do anything good for the car to weld the seams?

In the engine bay and or the chassis as well.

The plan for the car is street driving, and some spirited track driving, and drag racing... the engine is going to push around a 1000hp. I thought about whether you could risk that the chassis would "flex"

I'm not thinking about full welds, but something like 1 inch off, and then 1 inch welds.

Or is it better just to keep the original stitch welds and then mount a strut bar in the engine bay, and maybe a roll cage.

I don't think I have seen many of the big power guys with welded seams... at least not in the engine bay.

    Thank you!
