The Long Winter - A Supra Short Film

If you live somewhere that has snowy winters, have ever had to store your car..........or lets be honest we own supras and have taken them under the knife for a much longer than expected upgrade or rebuild.

Then I think you can relate to the short film I have been working on

Really cool. The video editing is done well too, very professional looking. My cars sit in the garage all winter. I'd love to play with them in the snow but they use salt and brine on our roads. They most snow they see is when I back them outside to warm up every month. Sometimes I wonder why I live where I do.

Great video. Awesome filming and editing. One of my favorite songs growing up was from Cinderella and your title made me look it up and play it. Thanks.

Thanks Guys, Had a lot of fun with this one!

They use sand and chemical de-icer here, still not something I trust having on wheels and paint I care about but much less corrosive than salt. I had the idea at the tail end of last winter when I was in "I just want to drive it mode". This is the first and likely last time any of my Supra's have or will see snow, can't say I regret it though The things you do for a YouTube channel

Not MKIV related but thought most of the forum would enjoy it. We need to stick together these days... the Germans are coming

Nice video. What tires do you have on it? I won't even take my Supra out in the rain let alone snow but my GT-R never misses a snow fall lol.

I know the feeling, sometimes I walk into my garage to grab something when I haven't driven it in a while and think man it really is a gorgeous car.

I have to say I am jealous of your driving season being indefinite. The only upside is we get a dedicated build season every year up here.

Thank you, it has taken over a year of creating progressively less shitty YouTube videos to get here!😂

We had a crazy spring as well, not April snow crazy but Winter was well on its way out and decided to change its mind this year.

Running Potenza's on the front and Nexens on the rear currently. They do decent in the rain, I mean a 500hp car in the rain is still a 500hp car in the rain regardless of the tires.

I now know they are absolute shit in the snow 😂 as expected, but seriously I could not believe how little traction I had. was actually difficult to hold a line with no front end push and the notoriously little steering angle the mkiii has.

You did a great job of making it look like you had some grip lol. Summer tires in snow can feel like you're flooring it in neutral and then braking you might as well just coast to a stop.

Im Glad... they spin as soon as the clutch comes out but I was able to get moving. As soon as you get the car rotated 1 degree past full lock the rear is coming around though. Both the MKIII and MKIV are such confident driving cars, both generations always amaze me when I push them beyond the limits with how comfortable I feel.
