    Auto Trader
An OBVIOUS auto trader scam, they dont even try to make it look like a real price.

    "Hello,
i am located in Germany and i have tried to sell the car locally but
the car is an US model.
my price is 8700 USD and in order to eliminate any concerns you can send
me the payment after you have received the car,
i will ship the car with Lufthansa service,
the shipping fees to US are aprox 1800 USD,
i need the shipping cost in order to ship you the car"

    another ebay one
Im not sure whats up with this one, they even have a picture of I belive an M series BMW from behind in it....

This listing for an HKS Type-R intercooler is fraudulent. It appears to be the same one that duped me a few months ago. In my auction the guy said his name was Clint. His email address is [email protected]. His address is in Philadelphia, PA, but the street address and telephone numbers are obvious fakes.

    Here is the current listing
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2475734661

Here is the auction I won back in Febuary
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2458837602

I won the auction and sent money for it. I did not get a reply for several weeks. When I did get a reply this is what it read

    hi!
this is clinton..I am in Hong kong now for a business trip..but b4 i left the states..i 've arrange for the UPS pick up at my house...byt they never came to pick up the package...and now i won't be back until april 5th...I wish there is something i can do now...maybe we can deal again when I am back to the states..
    Thanks
    Best Regrads,
    Clint

I have written him several times since with no response. I contacted eBay and PayPal and they were able to recover some of the monies I paid, but not all.

I post this as a warning to avoid this, and any other Supra related auctions on eBay particularly with people who have a very low, or no ratings. The eBay scam is in full tilt now, and it appears they do very little to stem the tide.

TOO MODERATORS, if this is in the wrong forum please move, but don't delete if possible.

ALSO NOTE He has many other Supra related items listed. IF you have a bid on one of the items listed, retract it now.

This same car is still on cars. com under the seller name of Brian Heess and it still states about the $2000 escrow account.

I feel sorry for the people who are bidding on this. Notice how he lists having an Alpine DVD Player installed. You can even see it is by the pictures! Oh wait, those interior pictures aren't even from a supra.

    wtf scam

The following car in autotrader has been found to be a scam. Please be aware that this car is one of the many supras around with a very low price, and is located apparently in England. Just thought I'd give you guys a heads-up.

Here's the email he sent me when I inquired about the price:

    good day,

My name is David Pavern and i am the owner of the car .I am living in England and i bought a new house now.I want to sell this car as soon as possible couse i have to pay it full.
The car is in a very good condition and i am sure you like the car very much.I see that you are interested and i will say to you a few words about how i would like to close this deal.
I can ship the car to you address, the shipping will be payed by me couse as i told you i want to sell it vey soon.About the payment method i preffer a transfer, a money order.
Please feel free to mail me and ask the info you need.
I hope you will mail me soon !
Thank you for your time !

The car is located through this link:

    http://65.54.168.250/cgi-bin/linkrd..._id%3d164185709

Yet another damn overseas scam. This is starting to become pathetic.
I did it for the lulz.

    This is a dangerous scam.
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...482862373&rd=1

In addition to being an obvious scam, clicking on the link "for more pictures" takes you to a screen that looks like an eBay login screen.
Of course, it isn't. It's to harvest your login and password.

    These crooks suck.

I know I don't ever post here, but I do browse Supraforums on a regular basis.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...483587473&rd=1

That car is my friend's car that he has for sale (FastTurb o). The scenery is definitely not that of Las Vegas. I already left him a message on his voicemail regarding the scam because he is on vacation.

    BIDDER BEWARE!!!

I don't know why the scammers put such low prices. It's a dead giveaway to anyone with an IQ>10 and greed quotient <100

    Yet another.....

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6447

This car just sold in another auction like 2 days ago and this meatball takes the pictures and relists the car for $16K. This is getting ridiculous! And people bid!

    Original legitimate auction.....
