Thanks for the adding to the thread. Those Wisecos sure do look really nice! I added the Wiseco info above, and adjusted the K1 weight down 1g to split the difference between yours and mine. Glad to see someone else trying out the K1's. Good luck with your build and take care sir!

further research indicates they are the same
As someone mentioned, the non-turbo GE VVT-i rods are much lighter, but it's definitely not a good thing. Those things are twigs and will snap as early as 400whp!

I am not sure I understand all these numbers or where they fit in above? Please explain. Thanks!

    a) is radial wall thicknes
    b) is axial width

example Mahle 1ND ring a=1,2mm b=3,0mm this fitting to the piston ring groove

    Mahle
    1ND - 720 gram force
    2ND - 740 gram force
    --------------
    1460 gram force X 6= 8760 gram force

    OEM
    1ND - 1460 gram force
    2ND - 1120 gram force
    ---------------
    2580 gram force X 6= 15480 gram force

this is a friction reduction of 43% on the rings in all 6 cylinders

Oh I see, and thanks for explaining, but I think thats a little more detail than I want to put into the charts above. My charts are really just for all the physical weights of all the rods and pistons. Thanks for adding the info though and take care!

Have you personally hand weighed these items, or did you just get the info from a website somewhere? Some of those numbers contradict what I have seen elsewhere is the only reason I am asking. I just bought Mahle and weighed them myself, and they are no where near 313g. Thanks!

OK, your JE numbers match up on the piston. Did you happen to measure the rings, pin, clips weight?

On the Mahle, they make two different versions for the 2JZ. Do you know which model number you bought. They make a 4032 and a 2618. I bought the 2618 ones and they weigh 340g, so maybe you have the 4032 ones which should be lighter. Please check on that if you wouldnt mind. Thanks!

OK, I will add that info up above to the chart, but you have the Powerpak version which uses 4032 material for the pistons, which is also why it is lighter than mine. I have the Powerpak Plus ones that weigh a little more and are made of 2618 material. I'll have both in the cahrt and thank you for adding the info!

Can you verify which of the weights you have listed were weighed by you personally, besides the Mahle, and which ones were just pulled from the internet? Thanks in advance!
