    Just did this fix on my '89 Supra and thought I'd share my pics. As others have noted, the blue plastic bushings just disintegrate literally into dust, as shown in the 5th image.

    Just found this being on page 1. I just got a RHD Auto TT and there is slop right and left as described above. First, I cant even figure out how to take the shifier knob off lol...Someone said there is a Phillips down low. If some has a picture of where this Id appreciate it.

    So it sounds like a PITA to replace the bushings that causing this?....damn...

    I didn't realize this was an MKIV-specifc thread until after the fact, but it really seems like the steps are about the same between the IV and III. And for the MK3, you don't even need to take the shifter knob off. I'll let someone else confirm for the MK4.

    Can someone give me the OD and ID and Thickness of this washer? I have a mix box of nylon washers to see if I can use one.
