New Clear Lenses for our Cars

Hey guys, here is the final product. I have been making these lenses for about 3 months now and the R&D has taken about 8 to 9 months on top of that. The lenses are made from Acrylic glass that is the same thickness as the OEM lenses. Why Acrylic? The acrylic glass will never oxidise and is scratch resistant. As for impact resistance, I have done some (albeit not professional) testing and the lenses withstand direct impacts from lead projectiles up to 520 feet per second
without so much as a scratch or chip or even crack (my lenses fail at the same velocity as the OEM lenses). I poured my heart and soul into this guys so I hope it meets the standards of the community. Let me know what you guys think and I will answer any questions that I can.

Please do not PM me with questions or orders. The PM limit is a hassle. Please contact me at my email address which is : [email protected]

    ***Prices***
$150 Deposit for the acrylic material to get started
(I am more than willing to post screen shots from your PayPal deposits on SF so they can be public record for your safety)
$350+Shipping once the lenses are done
(shipping will be calculated once the lenses are done and payment is received and will always be insured FedEx ground)
    Full Price = $500+shipping

The acrylic takes about a week to get to me and it takes around 2-3 weeks for me to make the set of lenses depending on my work load.

**Im always open for trades. If you have something that you think I might want/need then hit me up.**

Update: Just weighed an OEM lens and one of mine and they are the same weight. Also, I did the same impact testing on a factory lens and it failed at the same psi as my Acrylic lenses.

    97 Headlights finally!

Now Serving our SC300 Members! (5/15/2015)
-prices are the same as the Supra lenses.

Sidenote: my bonnet is fubar with Plastidip on it so that's why it looks like that.

Disclaimer: Theses lenses are not DOT approved and thus, are for off-road use only.

Additionally guys, when I give you a deadline for production that is also your deadline.

Looks very nice man! I have seen your work first hand and they look great, glad to see you post them.

The best part is that you live a few doors down so I get to see how yours hold up until I can afford a set. My lights could use freshening up...

DJ, these look just amazing. Almost every Supra mkiv owner I have ever talked with has issues with the oxidation on our lenses. I am happy to see that there is now an alternative for us. For many years I have seen post after post of owners wanting lenses without lines... Well, I'm glad it's finally here. Thanks for all the hard work that has went into this product. I am sure many mkiv owners like myself will be getting in line for a set very soon.

I've been thinking about this myself as I knew someone would eventually want this option. If you gave me the diameter pipe you wanted to fit through the lens and a round about position in the lens along with outward angle then im sure I could make it happen.

Nice job! I'll be in the need of these in the future for sure...

    Don't know the reference.

Edit: after some searching it seems this Branigan guy did delining and ended up stealing people's lenses. I don't deline lenses for people because it's just not worth it. The clarity is never as good as the lenses I make and most people don't realize they have thousands of tiny micro fractures in their OEM lenses and when they get delined all it does is highlight all those fractures.

Awesome that people out there like you take the initiative to bring products to the forum; I think these are going to look good on plenty of cars. I'm no headlight engineer but does running lenses without lines disrupt how light is projected from the headlight?

Thank you very much and to answer your question, Im not sure "disrupt" is the correct word to describe what the lenses do to the light. There are plenty of cars with 100% clear lenses with no lines and they perform just as well if not better than any other lens. The lenses on my car in the pictures are a set I made for a friend who does HID retrofits and he chose to go with my lenses because the factory lenses with lines and delined lenses do not have anywhere near the amount of transparency needed to achieve a truly clean look. All said, I am no engineer either, I probably should be, but Im not. So, all I can really do is let the results speak for themselves.

I never said anything negative, I like the design....you would have had to been around for that debacle to truly understand.

Oh, I know you didn't say anything negative. I just wanted to understand the reference and then once I did, I wanted to clarify the difference between what he was doing and what I am doing. Nothing more.
