Are our MK3's going up in value?

I just went to KBB.com to see the value of my 92 MK3 and was surprised to see it valued at over $14000 in good condition.

NADA lists them at $3,725 low to $10,350 high for 91 and 92. Seems a bit higher than I remember. 92's are rare to begin with. I want to say only 1,200-1,500 made it to the states.

My 89 was just totaled insurance gave me 6k high nada was 9700 however your interior must be in mint condition to fall under excellent condition. My door panel was off at the time and i had a small tear in the drivers seat that. dropped the value

For the clean ones, probably will. Not sure if you guys saw but a bone stock turbo model ( 87 or 88 ) that was extremely clean sold for over 20k on ebay a few months ago.

And they should be. Most trashed examples are already at the junkyard or worse, and mostly the better kept examples remain. And whats not to like about a WELL KEPT rwd, straight six Japanese turbocharged machine?

This is one of those time where it is good that 91-92 are going up and bad because I'm actually looking for one, well two, 91 Targa and a 92 Sunroof. Hoping to get both for under $8k.

Good. Will be nice to at least get a little respect from the insurance companies, lol

A lot of body/interior parts for these cars are no longer available, making them damn near impossible to restore.

I just picked up a black turbo 92 sunroof auto with 134k for 7k a few months ago. I was willing to pay so much because the Shadow Grey interior was near mint and the previous owner just spent a boatload of money on engine work, replacing all hoses and gaskets including a new HG, new wheels/tires/tint and the paint job is only a few years old. 100% bone stock... even has the original floor mats and wheels.

I think the price was fair considering its all original, one owner and looks/drives like it was babied. It's not perfect of course, needs a few things fixed, but just minor items.

I don't plan on really doing much to the car other than new leather seats and some coilovers. I may put the stock wheels back on after a visit to wheel wizard for a refresh.

If you can find a well kept 91 or 92 turbo, I don't think 5-8k is unreasonable for these cars, especially if the car hasn't been hacked/molested to death.

Good condition mk3 Supras will go up in price!
$10k+ for good ones, and $20k+ for mint ones.. and when I mean mint I mean excellent! Not a single issue or bad point.
Modified big HP ones with excellent job done to it , like show room condition..will hit the $30k mark.
But to be honest these mk3s are very rare to be found.
    Here in Europe last month a single 7675 turbo 2jz 1990 mk3 850hp Supra / R154 trans. sold for €35.000 euros....almost $40k USD !

Imagine if they give a role play of a badass mk3 Supra in the next 'FAST and FURIOUS 8'....what will happen ????? Just imagine!
It would have to be a 1000hp JZ powered mk3 , MC built R154 trans with a TRD LSD and some nasty WEDS Kranze 19'' wheels and behind of them a
14" inch BBK along with a nasty body kit...like an S2 wide body and it's diffusers plus some Bomex sides and add ons! It will destroy the competition for sure!
Just saying guys...an idea of the moment xaxaxaxa

I believe these cars have been under-valued far too long. There should not be such a huge disparity in prices between the MK4 and MK3. Both MK4's and MK3's are rare now. I don't see any reason a very well kept MK3 of any year could not fetch $10-15K. And I don't mean one with cracked dash boards/worn out seats/rust/dents/fluid leaks, I mean the ones that are kept up. Fix what's broke or worn out and I guarantee the value will keep increasing in the future.

Havocatl, with the exception of the passenger side handle being a brown handle and not the gray, the rest of the interior is in really good shape, damn near mint. I got it as a gift from a friend, who i sold my old mk3 to. He wanted to swap out a few sensors and clips from the engine and i did just that. I didnt know he was going to give me the car. He handed me the title and the key to the car. As a matter of fact, the original key is what i have. Silver with toyota written across it. Car has not been ran since 03, thats the sticker it last had, he bought it for 300 bux and gave me the car. I think he is taking out a few more things from the interior and i was thinking of stripping it and making itna drift car, but after reading this, i think i am going wth a full 1jz swap and aiming for 550-600whp, atandalone and bw s366 from my mk4.

Got hit on the rear quater on the highway and spun around @ 60mph ended up hitting a tree. Car was totaled but did its job and i still have my legs so i didnt really care. Went to Maine 5.5hr ride one way , and found another. Fully stripped my car and started swapping parts i should be up and running soon been way too busy to post about it.

I have a 1986.5 Toyota Supra in mint condition. Its non turbo, black with only 17k miles on it. Always garaged and covered never driven in winter. I'm the original owner. Just wondering what it might be worth.

If someone is doing a registry of these cars, I suggest you all sign your cars up to it.

It's the only way to account for them all, and it will effect the value.

The MKIV group estimates less than 50% of MKIV's in North America sold, are actually left.

The MKII folks are also getting happier to see the values go up, as well.

Pretty sure the computer glitches out and thought a 92 was the same price as a 92.5.....

    Anyways isn’t a a 92 a rare year.....what does a 89 in good condition go fore?
