1998 NA 129k Miles $25k
my supra was actually on craigslist a lot before I went to see it...the guy had pretty shitty pics and description and I guess I was still the first one to be serious enough to show up to see it and then take the guy to the bank. looked like he was going to change his mind (it was a great price too) so I had to drag him to the bank and put cash in his hand.
I e-mailed very early this morning asking for more info and pics to my cell.
He responded and said that he listed it in the wrong section and the car is in New York but that he could ship it and did not provide any additional contact info.
I didnt even bother to respond. How can you accidentally list a car for sale in Houston when you live in New York?
Told him I could pick it up it didn't matter if it was NY or Houston and he stopped replying.

I met Jake a few months ago while my g/f was living in San Diego. I visited Jake for about 2hrs and saw his car etc. We chatted about MKIVs and whatever. I enjoyed the visit...Jake is a very cool guy with a very calm demeanor, which I think is what comes through the keyboard accidentally as what you guys call arrogant.
Ive witnessed these threads along the way and FWIW, it's my personal observation that Jake has simply been misunderstood (through keyboard/forums) and that the situation has simply/innocently snowballed.
Jake, I think you're a cool dude and I can understand that certain OCD trait as I have some degree of it myself (just not as much as you, lol).
This all being said, I'll go out on that limb and stand by Jake...and yes Jake, as in the above poster says....don't stay hidden away for only to remain a mystery to everyone. I believe I'm making the CA meet and I'd really enjoy seeing you arrive too - bringing your car out would be a great bonus! Do it man, it's in your backyard...your car DOES exist, so show it to everyone else who loves these cars as much as you do! Share the enthusiasm that the rest of us do. Put a couple gentle miles on that car.
Also, thanks for giving me that "supra" plate for free

how are there so many MKIVs for sale in Dallas? i see maybe 2 MKIVs a year driving around
These cars are growing very old now, TT cars becoming single turbo which means BPU stock body, all vin cars without any stories are becoming an endangered species.
