Exactly. So that means a later year pumpkin wont be a direct bolt on to a V160 transmission and driveshaft. And thats why i need to be sure of what type of pumpking i have, because i asked the guy 3 times and he insisted that it came from a 96 or lower year supra

^^^^ ops yah sorry i missed that part. Yes originally i thought all parts came from a 98 jdm but when i reached there the guy told me that the driveshaft and transmission both came from same car ( 96 jsm V160). But the differential came from a different car, so i asked the guy and he told me...

Are you 100% sure? Because the guy from the shop said its from a 96 and lower year jdm supra. So are you saying that since im installing a v160 and a v160 driveshaft, this wont be a direct bolt on since this is a differential which was used with the v161 transmission?

Ok. Picked up the v160 and tried to rotate the shaft. All seems okay, no shaft play, no weird sounds. The only thing i noticed was that when i tried to shift between gears, all gears were smooth besides 6th gear. It wouldnt shift into 6th easily. The shifter fork wasnt installed properly only...
