yes, stock clutches. we knew we would have issues, and didn't really have time to address the clutches/tranny before the event, so we were hoping for the best that they would at least hold up for a few runs. they held up good for the first run, however the owner/driver let out at the top of...

guess i need to change my name to [email protected] :( lol yes, there's video, not sure if it's been uploaded yet. if not it will be by tomorrow. yes, the car could have put down more power on the current boost level, but this was after being on the dyno all day, and it was very humid here...

    Dyno Tuning
gotcha, sorry if i misinterpreted your post. the thing is though, that this particular turbo is effecient to roughly 50psi with the billet wheel... maybe that's the main selling point on them, honestly this car will never see that kind of boost unless (or should i say 'when', knowing rich) the...
  4. Boost vs Timing conundrum

    Dyno Tuning
a properly tuned engine will make max power at mbt always, regardless of boost levels or, or afr's which have a pretty insignifigant affect on power levels as long as you're within a certain window. any extra fueling outside of that window is usually just for thermal reasons.. finding mbt and...

'full boost' was roughly just over 2 bar on these dyno pulls, and was hitting that just before 4800 on the dyno with no load. haven't pulled any logs from street runs yet, but i'm sure it comes in a little sooner. in this case, full boost by just over 4k, but i haven't been doing much core...
  6. Wheres a good Swap Shop In NC?

    SouthEast Forum
realistically, expect to spend between 5-6k for parts and labor, as mentioned above, your budget of 3k is pretty unrealistic for parts and labor. good engine, wiring harness, ecu, 1j bellhousing (assuming your current r154 tranny is good), clutch, new plugs, gaskets, motor mounts, fabricating a...

again, the original post was inquiring about a swap in a mkiii, i ramble off toyota pinouts in my sleep, lets stay on topic. however, you do use the word 'competitive' a couple times in your post, and no offense but we don't really consider you guys competition in these fields. your tuner is a...

not sure what you mean by "i heard that majestic has swapped out parts a couple times"? as far as not just being in it for the money, first and foremost this is a business, and this is our career, what we do to put clothes on our family's back, food on the table, roof over our heads etc. we...
  9. Wheres a good Swap Shop In NC?

you're reccomending people to take their supra to a shop that admittedly didn't take the proper precautionary procedures before tuning to ensure longevity and safety? and another item they installed malfunctioned, causing further damage? although you supplied the part, they're willing to...
  10. Dyno Results: PT6262 (billet), Automatic

    Dyno Tuning
the turbo spools very quickly, but like sean mentioned above, the high stall is the reason the dyno graph doesn't reflect the actual spool time. sean, you're gonna have a blast with this car on the street lol
  11. haltech EMS

    Shops & Part Reviews
yes, i agree completely. motec is definitely in a class of it's own as far as engine management goes. i was basically making a comparison between the two units as far as what would be applicable to most supra owners, and wasn't trying to say one was better than the other. haltech definitely...

Glad you're happy with the haltech mikey, we've been very pleased with the new platinum sport ecu's and the superior star up, idle, and driveability control. The car sounded great on the dyno and made very good power for the set up IMO. Look forward to seeing it back to go bigger ;)

Yes, you must definitely have us confused with someone else lol. Rich has been racing supras for many years, in which case yes many others have tuned his cars for him in the past. Rich's shop, Majestic Motorsports has been open for less than 2 years, and we have only had an in house dyno and...
