not going to run bucketless shims? it's only $300.
Cant speak on the jz heads myself, but 7m stock valvetrain is ok with a mild lift 264 cam. Does that carry over for this head? I always hear the stock ge cams dont flow shit, so I didn't know if the oem springs and buckets were up for the job if you were to upgrade later on.

Think he could and maybe has just put GTE cams in it.

Not claiming ive read all 14 pages line for line, but looks like there's a hole still there for the 7m cps... gte doesnt have the gear on the exhaust cam. I would have welded that shut by now if I was setting out to make a faux gte head. Again I didn't read every line, could be im just being a dumbfuck... Wasn't aware the gte cams even sat in the ge head? Ither way im glad to see the progress.

Never said it was a vvti head. Above post was in response to black dawg saying you were/had dropped in gte cams. not possible btw... Well, not practical without some major fab

shimless buckets aren't required unless you run really high lift cams or rev past 8k but i love my engine so i'd upgrade to them if I was removing the cams.
