heat treated after drilling or else they could shatter !!!!!

That is what i need to look for thank you .
i didn't know the diference and those on ebay didn't look good
Is brembo our only option?

can we upgrade our brakes to make them better?
i need to do my brakes this weekend rotors pads and maybe
bearings there is a noise when i drive and it comes from the front wheels

if you want performance Brembo is the only way to go
but if you do just regular driving around down and a little bit of racing
OEM rotors would be more than good enuf

If you want to upgrade your entire break system
Brembo big brake kit =)
It will set you back a few grand tho

brembos, and they were a decent price too- $160 shipped for the complete set. they work great and i upgraded my pads too to wagner hpz or something like that-no squeal, dust and they are lifetime warrantied. i really like the brembos that i got from groupbuy though. i wouldnt buy cross drilled or slotted, cuz you never know which are real dimple drilled, so i stuck with brembo blanks. besides, our pads never get hot enough for cross drilled and or slotted to work.

I wouldn't buy those rotors on e-bay. The holes are large and look like they are drilled very close to the outter edge of the rotor. I don't think a brake engineer designed the pattern, but rather some ricers statred slapping rotors onto a CNC machine and drilling them. Brembo makes factory replacement drilled rotors for most cars (MKIII included) they are actually drilled by brembo, so if you're looking for just the looks, go that route. A pair will set you back under $200. That beeing said, for performance, factory sized drilled rotors won't help much if any. Drilling is mostly for reduction of unsprung weight. It has some cooling properties, but not much. Slotting also mildly helps cooling, but is mostly done to prevent gassing. The best thing to keep a rotor cool is to increase it's surface area, and the only way to do that is to go bigger! It's my (and prolly most people on this forums) opinion that the stock brakes on the MKIII are WAY undersized. The master cyl is properly sized and the calipers put out enough clamping force (easy to lock the wheels up)... but under heavy duty, the brakes heat up WAY too fast and fade becomes quickly the most difficult thing to deal with. The rotors are simply too small to keep up with the thermal duties demanded from the 3600lb car. Unfortunatly, without going custom... there really isn't an option for an upgrade. If you want other's opinions on the topic, use the search button, this has been discussed about 10 million times :D

All that beeing said, if you want your car to stop better, stock sized drilled rotor's won't help. Better off spending the cash to make sure your existing brake system is up to snuff (change the fluid, rebuild the calipers ect...) For the street, even stock is fine, but when racing, it fails horribly. If you are just looking for the looks, get the Brembo stock replacements, stay away from the no brand crap, the last thing you want is your rotor spliting, remember, this isn't like putting on clear tails or something, if you screw your brakes up, you could kill someone or possibly yourself!
