    You should have a look around for the manual for the alarm, as leaving it connected is preferable. It may have a valet switch that you have knocked that has now got the alarm in valet mode.

    Using the GTE pistons is a better way to lower the CR than just using the GTE HG, but most do the HG as its far more simple to, myself included.

    Definitely reconnect the vacuum line, and also, check to see if the speed sensitive PS connector is plugged in to the steering rack, as what youre describing sounds like that isnt connected. If it is connected, then youre probably right that it hasnt been connnected at the ECU end.

    If you bought new OEM coils, then dont waste money on any others, as that isnt your problem. What igniter are you using? Are all of the coil connector plugs and wiring new, or at least in good condition?

    Have you test fitted the TE37's to confirm if they fit? I have 8.5 +40 and 9.5 +40 and they fit fine. Id be surprised to see that 2mm more of negative offset would cause a problem, but would happily stand corrected.
