Sorry this is bit of a multiple question post. I'm in the process of replacing my clutch and want to know if anyone has a recommendation on brand and type? My car is a pretty much stock 1JZ GTE non VVTI with basic bolt ons. Currently I am not looking at making any major changes to increase...

Anyone know any good torque converters for the auto trans? My goals are 600rwhp and around 580rwtq on e85. It’s gonna be a fast-spooling setup with a Precison Gen2 6266. I was thinking about running a slightly lighter flex plate as well but I’ve seen mixed reviews on this topic. If anyone has...
  3. New Members Forum!
Hey ya'll, I've been all over SF looking for input on flywheels for the mk3 and am still stuck on what direction to go. Many of the posts regarding this topic are fairly dated and I'd like to see if anything has changed over these past few years. I've seen many positive and negative reactions...

Hello! I hope you guys are able to help me: Specs: Supra Mk4. Twin turbo, Built engine ~800hp. V160 and a twin disc clutch! I just recently had a problem when i was out driving. After a while, when the car was hot, i wanted to make a pull. 2nd gear. I got up to about 4-4,5k rpm (i think)...
  5. MKIII Technical
I've changed my clutch recently and I couldn't go in any gears while the engine was running so I bled the system every way possible and it wasn't working. I came to the conclusion that my master was fucked so I changed the master, slave and line. It still doesn't let me go in any gears I've bled...

Hey y'all, I've recently changed the clutch on my w58. I haven't been able to go in any gears while the car is running (clutch won't completely disengage). I've bled it a lot (went through a bit more than 250ml of dot3) and I'm not sure why it's not working. I've tried bleeding with the bottle...

I don't have a press and I'm not really sure how to remove it. This goes on w58 so I think its just press fitted on

Trying to change the clutch on my na 87 mk3 supra. Removed a couple of things already but Im stuck with trying to remove my shifter. Manual only says to remove the 4 bolts well 2 of them are a PITA to reach. Ive seen a video of someone removing it on a r154 and they aren't hidden like mine...
  9. Supra FAQ
I've managed to strip the union connector near the slave cylinder while installing a new clutch line. I've been searching but cant find the part number/info for a replacement.
  10. MKIII (1986.5-1992)
I was wondering if anyone on here had any idea as to why this is, I am fairly new to working on cars and I do not trust myself to diagnose the problem. If anyone has any questions about my car or the issue please let me know. Thank you for your help.
  11. MKIII (1986.5-1992)
I've replaced slave and master as well as lines but yet the clutch won't engage, seems to be stuck. The car sat for a while but when I got it the clutch was on the flywheel and would move when you cranked it, now that I have it running right I can't get the clutch to engage seems to be stuck the...

  13. MKIII (1986.5-1992)
I tried to find any previous post about this topic but either I didn't go back far enough, or I'm the first one to ask this silly question. Like the title suggests, I have an 87 7M-GTE, bought it a year ago, love it more than anything. This winter coming I plan on doing some work to it in order...
