Hello Everyone!
My name's Dan and I have a 94 6 speed Supra, and as the title says i'm going to be building a 2jz-gte engine over the next few months.(There will be a build thread!) I'm going for 1000 horsepower at the wheels, The parts i'm putting in are CP Pistons, Carrillo H-Beam Rods, Titan Billet Mains and all of the bells and whistles while i have it apart. The only thing i'm debating on at the moment is if i should use my stock block with 119k miles on it or dish out another 2500$ to buy a new OEM block, I'm in no way rich but i would rather be safe then sorry with those numbers, but this is a 2JZ-GTE i mean come on! so i'm torn! First let me say the stock block is strong! The car drives great has great compression numbers and has never been pushed over 700 horsepower on a very conservative tune. Never have i heard any knocking or irregular sounds coming from within the block, and it holds oil pressure fine. So what do you guys think? I would love to hear your input!
Thanks!
Dan.
