That engine is not Supercharged. It has a turbo.I was not saying that turbo and supercharger are the same thing.
we know :1poke: , you said that a supercharger is better than a turbo ">" means "greater than" so basicly what you said was, supercharged is greater than turbocharged

Its all good buddy! For some reason I once again cannot view the video's so I must ask is it a 3sgte or a 503e engine?

why do top fuel run super over turbo
Because nitromethane would destroy a turbocharger compressor wheel.

wouldnt you consider top fuel the fast most powerful engine and its under the power of a supercharger, so then shouldnt superchargers be held with same standard?
No.

If they were able to run turbos the cars would be waayyy to fast. Thats why they arent allowed also. You notice how a lot of racing don't use turbos anymore. Its not because they sucked its cause the cars were getting too damned fast.

Alex
You are exactly right! I believe it was in the '60's that one well known drag racer came out with a turbocharged car and totally decimated (spelling) the competition.

I do like the fact that the US Touring Car Championship is not allowing forced induction, turbo's and superchargers.

Just watched them and its a 503E. Here is a little history on it

"The most famous and successful Toyota Race engine- the 503E was used in Toyota's Triumphant Championship seasons in IMSA GTO / GTP, Pikes Peak, Le Mans, and in the mid-90s Japan Touring Cup Championship. It is important to note that the 16 valve cylinder head layout from the 152E engine and the T block crankshaft saddle design were used as design base for this ultimate Toyota 4 cylinder Turbocharged race engine. The 503E represented the most powerful 4 cylinders in competition history developing over 1000HP in qualifying tune, 800HP for sprint races, and 600 for endurance events. IMPRESSIVE."
