i have a 92 sc300 and i am putting a 1jz in it. the car is currently a 5-speed. I found a soarer clip with an automatic transmission. the shop that is doing the swap told me that they can use my stock tranny with the 1jz, and that they will only have to change the bellhousing.

i am a little worried about getting the clip because it has 92,000 miles on it. i did a search to see how many miles some other people have had on their clip when they purchased it but i could not find anything.

So should i buy this clip or look for another one?

Thanks

onebad7m - i thought that i had to change the bellhousing because i was doing some research and everything that i found mentioned that i had to change the bellhousing to fit a 1jz. But i guess that was because it was mostly about doing the swap in an MKIII.

tsuper92 - i was reading up on people putting the 1jz head and turbos on the 2jz block, but my motor has 147,000 miles on it and has an oil leak somewhere. so would you still recommend that i do that?
