Now Im asking this in hopes to get all my confusion cleared up. Im debating whether to do the NA to TT swap or just build the NA and drop a turbo kit on it. My question is whats the main difference between the 1JZGTE and the 2JZGTE? Some shops have said not much while others say its basically the same engine? I can never get the same answer twice from two people, so hopefully someone can clear this matter up for me. Also what would be the advantages and disadvantages with goin with the 1jz vs. the 2jz? Or the gains from going with the NA-T? Anyway I guess Ill let you guys stir on this for a minute, once again thanks for all you're help.

1JZ is smaller displacement, different head that won't accept 2JZ turbo kits, and runs parallel ceramic turbos. 2JZ heads bolt onto the 1JZ and vice versa. Have you considered just bolting a 2JZGTE head onto your GT block and putting on a regular single turbo kit? Would require some research but I believe that's as doable as a NA-T.
