(I don't know if this is the right place to post?) Vehicle: 1999 Toyota Land Cruiser 247k miles Engine: Stock 2UZ-FE Donor engine: Stock 1UZ-FE with bad pistons and rods I want 300whp without forced induction or race gas. I'd also like to know if a snorkel would be too restrictive for that much power. What combination of parts do you recommend? I just want more oomph for pulling my 4runner to the trail and more attitude storming up on-ramps. The Land Cruiser and IH8MUD forums didn't turn up much. Any help is appreciated.

bore out the 2UZ, custom destroked crank, high compression, dry sump, ported 1UZ VVT-i heads, big cams, and ITBs lol.

honestly, 280rw through an auto is easily achievable (equivalent to 300rw approx through a manual) with an intake, tune, and exhaust. i'm sure headers would help too. is your 1UZ a pre-1995 build? they have stronger rods, would inspire more confidence. some people on the forums say they've made damn near 300 with just a really good tune and headers.

The 1UZ had trashed pistons and rods.
I am only interested in the heads, cam, and intake.
Not sure of age, although it is a VVT engine.

My 1999 2UZ is non-VVT.

I assume a standalone unit will make everything talk.

Can I retain factory intake box or use a snorkel with ITBs?
