hi im thinking of putting a 1uz v8 in my supra, but is it a front sump or mid sump or back sump oil pan i shuld have

IIRC, the SC400 engine is the best to grab for a number of reasons, including fitment because of oil pan

There's a member or two on here who have done it and should be able to help you out

Mount the engine as far back as possible with custom mounts, and use a rear sump pan, or fab up a new pan. Or go dry sump.

what year supra you putting this in?
i think for the mk3 you need the rear sum oil pan and for the mk4 i think you need to mid sum oil pan from the 2uz motor.

Then the gas mileage will really suffer. When they're NA, 1uz's are about on par with a 7M-GTE. They are higher compression and don't as rich as 7Ms do with stock ECU.

can i get the sound like an american muscle car whith some cams and custom exhaust, i really like that deep rough sound/idle,
