As good as those straight-line numbers are, we have a number of FWD rides like the 5.3L V8 Impala SSs starting under $27,000 able to do low 14s @ about 100 mph, Sonata V6s with $2000 rebates in some locales trapping in the same league, GXP Grand Prix V8s whos owners get as fast as 13.7s on stock tires, 96-100 mph trapping Avalons starting at great prices, fast nice looking Maximas, etc.

The gadget vs. price structure looks good though.

the new eclipses have those wheels already. the interior center console area looks kind of like a 350z's. but wouldn't be a bad family car.

Right. Those American sedans may start off cheap, but if you try to option them out like the RalGal, they well get up to 30K in a hurry. Navi is not an option for the Impala. Their target was the Altima SE-R, and it appears it matches or exceedes it.

Yeah, you're right. They should have overrated them like Nissan does.
What nissan are you referring to, i'm hope your not talking about the 5.5 gen Maxima, because they were rated at 255hp and mine made 207fwhp bone stock.

I will take a 2007 Camary SE over that...same price and slight edge on performance as well.

^stock quarter mile in a 14.3 not bad for a camry!~

The recent 2006+ revup motors seem to be putting out 260WHP stock from a thread on my350z.com.

IMO the only good looking/performing car mitsu has on their lineup right now is the EVO.

I don't think FWD or RWD cars lose 20%, more like 12-14%, and 16-18% respectively which is why the comparison between the Lancer and the Sentra is more comparable. The SE-R factory ratings seem to be...okay, while the Mitsu would look to be underrated.

A Z car probably loses more through its driveline then a Eclipse, but I would think even the '03-'05 Z's would lay down more then it. So I don't think think the 3.8L is a shitty engine if the mighty VQ doesn't seem to show any measurable advantage this time.

I should hope so, if they are claiming 300 crank. What's a revup motor?

A 3.8lt only making 258bhp? Talk about shitty!

vnt
Youre kidding right? :wtflol: How about the pontiac grand prix making 260 hp with a supercharged 3.8 liter v6 over a decade ago? That is shitty. Wheres pontiacs na v6's today? Probably making around 210 hp. This galant is definately no 3.5 liter na v6 IS 350 though, but then again this car is also $10,000 LESS.

Not diggin the exterior of this galant but the interior looks nice except for that ugly steering wheel (like the c6 and the pontiac aztek) and yeah its missing a cam. Its performance figures look very similar to the IS300. I'll stick with my galant vr4. :)
