I myself have been very very excited about the R1's revamp for 2015. I just wanted to post this and see if anyone else shared the same interest. It looks fugly at first, but the more I read about it and the more I see it, the more I like it. I will certainly pick up the R1 in a year or two. If I get lucky, I will go for the R1M. :)

Not bad... The R1's have always been a bit soft in the performance department but this one looks better.

The R1M specs is looking nice. Yamaha is giving BMW's HP4 some competition.

200hp, holy shit. Are all liter bikes making power like this now? I haven't ridden in ten years, my R1 had 140hp or something back then, turbo gixxers weren't even at 200hp.

This bike looks great. Everyone is complaining about looks. I'm sure those lights are LEDs and they can probably come off really easily. Instant track day bike. Every rider aid you cn think of and it looks eerily like the MotoGP M1.200 hp is something Desmosedicis were doing for 3x as much money. The literbike wars are gonna be so, SO serious in 2015. Waiting to see what Honda and Suzuki comes out with. This bike is beautiful.....especially what the previous generation was. It was a fat, slow pig....despite the miracle Spies worked in WSBK.
I love literbikes.

Debating whether or not to put a deposit down for one of these, or wait until they are out on the roads and actually start proving themselves...

im waiting for some real tests to see if i should get this or the new 2015 s1000rr. Wanna see both on the same dyno and same track. Yamaha have always posted way higher hp numbers then what they really make. While the BMW makes the power that they state the make.

Not gonna lie, not a big fan of the plastics design, but ive also noticed that i havent like any of the designs in quite some time. I had a 05 Raven R1 and really enjoyed that bike styling, but the new specs look insane.

Coming from a 1st Gen R1 owner, when I saw the 2015 unveiling, I thought the new R1 was beyond ugly. I've seen in CF race trim and it looks better. I'm sure it's going to be a knockout on the track but it doesn't look sexy anymore. The previous R1's were simple yet sexy with nice lines.
