Will i need to change the valve springs and retainers to install these in my car
all advice is welcome thanks.

Do you *need* to? No....not necessary.

If you want to take advantage of the RPM range that 272's are optimized for....Yes...you should. If you are doing a cam swap, it's easy enough to do the springs/stem seals while you are there.

no you wont need to change your valve sprins or retainers unless you intend to rev higher than the stock rev limiter. valve springs and retainer upgrade are for high rpm valve train float prevention which would cause expensive valve damage or to lightenen up the valve train to rev higher.
