I have a set of 295/35 TA KD's to put on my 18x10 5Zigen Copse rims, but i was wondering if that is the ideal fit. From what i have seen, it looks like i should go with 285/30 for the rear to fit the 10" rim better. Will it affect the handling in any way if i have 265/35 18 TA KD's on the front and switch to 285/30 18's on the rear? I know i will need to roll/cut the fenders with the 295's but will i have to with the 285's??

It depends on the offset, but the 285/30 is definitely better than the 295/35. The 285/30 will work fine with the 265/35 front.

I don't think they will even fit on the rim, I ordered a set of 285/35/18's and they would not even come close to fitting on a 18x9.5 Volk racing TE37. I had to send them back and order some 265's they just fit.

Hmmm.....I just bought a brand new set of Volk Racing TE-37's in 18x9.5 and 18x10.5 with offsets in +40 and +45. I bought 255/35R 18 and 285/35R 18 for the tires. I had these recently mounted and balanced with a alignment too. Results are, this setup is awesome!!! I didn't have to cut the fenders or have too little or too much fender gap, it's perfect all around.

Here is the alignment specs I went with though on this setup:

FRONT
-1 degree camber
+4 caster
zero toe

REAR
-1 degree camber
.3 toe in.

I had help from Mr. Steve Jarvis with the alignment specs, thanks Steve.

Diff is my Volk where 8.5 front 9.5 rear:) I wish I could have gotten them in 10.5 rear, but they were the Limited Edition and that is the onl size they had.

Well, i know the 295/35 will fit onb a 10" rim cause i had them on my RH M5's but the rims got messed up when the tires were getting mounted so i got the rims replaced. Now i have my new rims, and am looking to get the best size combo for my car. So if i decide to go with the 285's the 295's will be for sale. Would anyone be interested in a set of 295/35 18 BFG TA KD's??

295 KD's will not fit on a 10 rim. No way. They are wider than other tires of the same width rating. I have put 285's on 9.5 rims before, but the 285 KD's did not even come close to fitting. I compared the 265's that I have on my car now to the 285's I used to have and they are just as wide. I'm just trying to save you a trip back to the tire shop. If you don't believe me ask Andi on the forums. He had a similiar issue with his KD's

As i stated before, they WILL fit. I had them mounted on a 10' Racing Hart rim already.. It may not be the best size for that rim, but it is possible to fit..

Oh...I din't realize you had 295 KD's already. I thought you meant you had another brand of tire in a 295 on that rim. I'm really surprised they fit. When I went to have the 285's mounted the guys told me that I would need another inch of rim for that tire. I even saw it, It would not have fit. Maybe Volks are over rated as to their width.
