Love this build BTW glad to see more dragsters, just wish it was a few years ago so the NHRA class in sport compact would have had some competition instead of the Ara and Nase show

 

omg I can't imagine that screaming down the 1320. I wonder if you could get a 2JZ to run top fuel?? hmmm lol

 

A 2JZ block can barely support 2000 hp.

6000 hp will make it blow up instantly. Top fuel runs solid CNC aluminum blocks.

The charge pipe was all built. Not exactly satisfied and would prefer a different throttle body placement, so that may be changed. Hopefully the aluminum bends for the exhaust will be here today or tomorrow. I will keep the updates going on here as well as our facebook page.

cant you guys just run the throttle body off the back of the manifold? it would make that charge pipe QUITE a bit smaller too.

none the less, a very cool project.

I Agree move the throttle body to the rear!! Plus that charge pipe scares me where it is. Lets see that thing come off at 200mph.

The pipe is getting changed this weekend. we had to convince the owner alittle so we only taped that one together to show him.

 

Mastermind Joey here at the shop came up woth a wicked design for modifying the manifold! Hopefully we will get a lot of it worked out this weekend! NO piping will be used now, simply a 4" coupler. Clean and mean!

After some deliberation we made the initial cuts into the GATO intake manifold. I am VERY happy with Joeys work and once it is polished I think it will look awesome! No more gaudy piping hanging off the side! Going to just add the (2) BOV flanges on the housing as well as the nitrous. Started mocking up for the exhaust. We were thinking about a single 5" turned up (4" pictured) but decided it looks too boring, everyone does that. So this is the beginning of our new idea.
