i know the intake manifold is not the same, can it be changed???

any other diff, i dunno, oil lines, head, something in the block....+
would it be hard to convert a 2jz-gt into a 2jz-gte< basically clone it...

the cylinder heads are totaly different
the turbo block has oil jets

you can put a turbo head on a non turbo block

hey thanx a lot.....

now i have more q's

thats what i though, the gt and the gte had different heads cause the TT setup...

you i'll have to change the heads......
and make a hole in the oil pan for the turbos, if i wanna turboed a GT...

and whats the reason for the oil jets???
to cool/lubricate the turbo? or for something else?

:D thanx again for the rep

the heads are different not because of the TTsetup. the tt head is a lot larger and flows better. vinny ten is pushing 1050hp to the wheels and 1300hp on the motor on a non turbo head. if he were to use a turbo head add 300hp.

the blocks are almost identical just buy a tt oil pan thats what i did. you dont need to change the head to turbo the car.

the oil jets are for the pistons

ok so if you put a gte head on ge? and changed the tranny pan. would it work? what would /could be done about the old cam driven distributor setup? and if i got custom header made could i run the gte head in n/a form. running a stock computer with fuel management . the gte head would have some custom cams , double spring ti- valve retainers. im going for the highest hp/track time out of a n/a supra then converting it to single turbo. i know what is needed for the single setup and whatnot. Thanks Brett
