Someone posted once that the 2J is too wide. I find this hard to believe seeing as people can fit a twin turbo V8 in that car, but what do I know? If I were you, I'd spend a lot of time with a tape measure before you make any financial commitments to it.
Fitment aside, you're going to have a nightmare doing this. you'll need custom motor mounts, possible a custom adapter plate depending on the trans used, the wiring will be a nightmare and that's just the obvious stuff. Why not just buy a V8 Camaro to begin with and modify that? Sink the $10,000 into the V8 (you'll spend at least that much just getting the 2J installed and running, to say nothing of modding the thing) and you'll have a damn potent car.
