Hello all, I am working on a 2JZ swap into my Datsun. I have done a lot of research and I’m hoping someone can verify my plan before I buy anything. I am budget minded but don’t want to screw myself by going too cheap on something that will break or not work.

The plan is to swap the engine in, get everything running smoothly, then turbo it with final power goals around 450 hp.

-2JZ GE VVTI from a 1998-2000 SC300 (the wiring harness I found won’t work with non VVTI, sc300 because it has the rear sump oil pan)
-Used pistons and rods from a non-VVTI GE
-New piston rings, bearings, seals, etc.
-Used stand alone ECU
