I want to swap a 2jz into a mk3 supra but the engine im looking to getting is a 2jz-ge. So i was wondering like if i could use that block rebuild it and put on a Gte head on it. Would it be classified as a 2JZGTE?
Also, you should move this thread to the MKIII section. There's a whole section dedicated to JZ swaps into MK3's:

And no it wouldn't be a 2JZ-GTE. You would have a 2JZ-GTE head on a 2JZ-GE block. That is a capable formula, though the GTE block is usually preferred since it has piston oil squirters and OEM pistons of the appropriate dish to get a turbo-friendly compression ratio. If you're going to build the 2JZ-GE block, consider adding those oil squirters, as the recesses are there in the 2JZ-GE block casting, they just need to be drilled & tapped.
sorry and thanks youAlso, you should move this thread to the MKIII section.
I'd consider it a 2jz-gte but unless you go all out APU standalone and delete everything oem from the head besides the cam sensors putting a gte head on a ge block doesn't make sense finanically.I want to swap a 2jz into a mk3 supra but the engine im looking to getting is a 2jz-ge.
