So I am converting my 2jzgte vvti to single turbo and I am ordering a patch harness through "Tweaked performance" for the V1 as I had them do my engine harness but I was advised that I would need to purchase a 2jzgte non vvti throttle body for this to work as the Aem v1 ecu looks for this for idle, My question is the following would it be possible to just use this type of IAC and have the flange welded to a bigger aftermarket intake manifold along with the runners at the same time?

From what I have found the stock manifold and iac used are going for around $400 and up. I have access to someone who welds aluminum daily so the labor would not be an issue. What's your feed back on this.
