Intake side fits perfect, exhaust side also fits other than one bolt hole dosent align, so you will need to get creative to hold it down.

 

How'd you get it to hold down?

I was thinking of making a small bracket that bolts into the head hole, give it a little slope to get under the valve cover bolt hole, and then has a hole for a bolt/nut combo that lines up with the valve cover hole.

 

You can get away with no bolt it seems, I've seen one without and no leaks. Otherwise an adapter bracket like you mentioned is probably the best solution.

Speaking with Plazmaman recently, they are a few weeks out from releasing billet valve covers with 2JZGE VVTi fitment. So hopefully other manufacturers do something similar soon

 

I swapped GTE covers onto my GE and it's plenty tight with the other bolts, you'll be fine missing the one bolt on the side.
