Hey Everyone, its that time of year again - time for the 3rd Annual Uconn Car Club Auto Show! With over 300 entrants last year, and tons more exposure, we are looking to break the 500 car mark this Sunday, and we would love to have some Supra owners be a part of it! I had the pleasure of meeting a long time supra forums member, KaosV1, at last years show along with checking out his gorgeous SP71'd MKIV supra. We would love to have more!

The show features a wide mix of cars, everything from old classics, to old school muscle, to late model import and domestic, sport trucks and even off-road trucks! This year will feature 25 classes, all with high-quality custom embroidered plaques, and many with gift certficates to performance shops and other vendors totaling over 2000$ !!!

Here is a quick video commercial that we are running on local television... I know you guys will appreciate the ending ;)

The show will include tons of entertainment, including models from "Campus Cuties" and other race cars and trucks on display. Breakfast and lunch will be available...The gates for entrants will open at 10am! Here is a schematic of the lot and what to expect:

Located at W-Lot, Uconn Campus, Storrs, CT 06268, RT195.

From I84 - Take exit 68, and follow route 195 to the uconn campus, W-lot will be on your right. (84East, take exit 68 and make a right off of the exit, keeping going straight and follow the signs, roughly 10mins to the campus/show)

Awesome. Any pics of your car? Glad to see some MKIV's will make their presence felt.

I will be the guy judging mitsu/dsm's. You will see my black/silver 1g Talon w/ the FMIC in the front. And don't worry, I am not your typical DSM moron. :) See you sunday!

Nick is right he is an atypical DSM owner, he actually is a pretty nice guy. :) He even knows the F-MIC is on the front! :bigthumb:

I'll try and get my bucket up there.....no guarantees.

This is a nice show and really well run. I was pleasantly surprised last year at the turnout. 500 cars were projected again this year and some old schoolers too.

I was headed up 84 going through waterbury sunday morning and a bunch of cars were merging onto the highway by me. A kid merged right next to me in a black mkiv with chrome stockers and a top secret hood, looked like it had a metallic paint job too. Anyone know if he's on this board? I didn't even know about the car show. I don't see many mkiv's in my area, it was interesting to have one right next to me on the highway by chance.

His name is Dimitri. His name here is nautica23 or something along those lines. Great guy by the way. I met him on the pike last summer. I was at the show too. Good turnout.

Cool, I've never been "spotted" before, lol. It felt a little weird following another black MKIV, felt like I was watching myself driving away. That's one nice Supra BTW. I thought you were on your way to the UConn show, the last thing I expected when you honked at me was seeing another Supra.

Good turnout for the show. Mike, I saw your car there but I couldn't find you. I saw Al98's car too, that car was SICK, he was busy talking to someone so I just drooled on his car. Who was the owner of the red MKIV with Raretoy stickers? Out of all the Supra owners there that day I only met TRD. Is it me or do MKIVs not get as much props as they used to?

Thanks, my car was fuckin dirty but it's a nice low mileage example. I wish I knew about the show, I wouldn't have gotten so fucked up the night before. Driving hung over is a bitch. I was shocked to see another mkiv pull up next to me, I absolutely never see any when I'm in my car. That top secret hood looks bad ass. How well does it fit? Let me know any time you guys are getting together for a meet or a show, I'll definitely partake.

Haha you guys should have made it! And yes, over 650 cars, with minimal rice. (This is the complete opposite of a HIN style show.) Starting with about 50 cars in the first show 4 years ago, we have roughly doubled in size every year. We hope to be at Renchsler Field (spelling?)in East Hartford next may, while breaking the 1000 car mark.

Its amazing what my dream in a piece of shit dorm room at UConn could turn in to...

Thanks to all that made it out!

Rentschler field ( the rent) should be a marked improvement especially having it in MAY. April comes fast , weather can still be an issue too. May is nice gives us a chance to get them spit shined and all dressed up.
Nevermind it snowed the week before this show. I'll be there next year with more than a weeks notice hopefully. :) Glad to see a few MKIV's showed.....

Last year it wasn't a rice festival either just a few with riveted on side skirts and fuzzy dice, womens underwear hanging from the mirrors with neons, chromed hubcaps , fake FMIC's, horns that sound like BOV's, huge subwoofers that were glued into cardboard boxes, with chinese made headunits playing rap. :kekegay:
