Does anyone know how to change that light if it goes out? I recently took my car in to Mike Calvert Toyota for a check-up after my fan shroud came loose and got sliced by my fan and a few days after the check up I noticed the light on the dash saying that one of the rear lights is out. It's the brake light in the middle on the hatch.

Make sure it's just not unplugged. You should be able to check that part easily after taking off the rear hatch plastic trim panel. If you need to replace it, it's a pain. You'll need a deep socket 10mm to do it. It's also expensive, almost $250.00, so you'll want to talk to Curt.

it's your vvtl-i fuse
I've checked the lights, and the 3rd brake light is not working. If it was the vvtl-i fuse would the 3rd brake light still work or no.
