What do You think of boring 40 over?? I have aleady gone 20 to clean the cylinders. I got an Email from Toyota that Says.
"***************
The factory only recomends .050mm oversize [20 over usa]. With 30 and
40 over [using aftermarket pistons in US measurments] The cylinder wall
is too thin to disperse heat properly.

Thanks for the help

Why would you want to go any bigger? This is a inline 6 turbo motor not a v8 350! Boring out your block wont help you gain power any just raises the risk of over heating or having a rod go straight through your block IMO.... but never know I maybe wrong but I just don't see any point behind it...

any engine can benifit from an increase in displacement.

there are lots of people running .40 over, don't worry about that. More than that would require custom pistons (don't think any one shelves pistons that aren't .20 or .40 for the 7M) so cost would be a lot greater.
