hey guys. i'm actually doin this swap as we speak and i need to know how much i need to take off the shifter hole so the manual shifter fits correctly and comfortably. i need to know ASAP so any help is greatly appreciated.

None!!!

I've seen people hack up the hole but never understood why as the shifter sits fine in the auto hole. My '89 was originally auto and now has a R154. There was no cutting necessary.

My car is swapped and we did not cut the hole at all...It is a bit smaller then the hole on the manual cars, but it will not affect the shifter.

Nothing. You will only need the metal bracket for the shift boot, anda shooft boot itself as well as a shift knob.

Its all drop in.
