Wow we just finished a 6 our wash and wax on the exterior of my car haha we didnt even touch the interior or engine yet

Washed it down. Then took a bug and tar sponge to the front end to get as much crap off the bra and lip as possible. Then a little more washing and washing the wheels. We then dried it and while it was finishing drying we washed dans...

After dans was done we took the PC out and went over the car with some Pinnacle Swirl Remover (previous owner needs a good instruction on how to wash a car  ). If we had more time we would have used the Advanced Swirl Remover or stripped everything with the 3M 2 step.

After that was done we began the 3 coats of wax hand applied. We used Pinnacle Souverän Wax.

Now she rests under her cover waiting to be tackled the rest tomorrow.

Hmm i think its time for me to head out to the garage and snap some shots...

Be back in a bit.

Usually I'm a humble guy.. but I mean I can say when I did a good job :D. The paint isnt where I would like it to be depth/swirl-less wise, but it is the best we could do with the short hours we are left with. Hmm now tomorrow we have the interior, engine bay, and wheels of your car, and the exterior, engine bay, and interior of my car. Hmm if today was 6 hours tomorrow sure promises to be a clean 8. Nothing like working two full time days in one day! It is now 3:20 AM so I must rest.... who knows maybe I will just get completly unhappy with how your car looks in the sunlight tomorrow morning, and decide to let mine go un-prepped for the weekend, to get time to 3M your car with compound and polish to get rid of all of those nasty swirls for good! Only time will tell, and I'm pretty sure if I type more time will start running out. :D

To keep water spots to a minimum, try using a detailing spray after you wash. To keep swirl marks to a minimum, make sure you have good wash and dry tools. Never wipe, rub or polish in circles (straight line motions only), and be very careful with the use of buffers and polishers. I always like to use good clean applicators, and sponges and keep different sponges for different areas of the car. If ever any of the things I use on my car hit the ground I throw them away immediately or find a different use for them in some way, but they wont touch the paint again. Regular polishing is the best way to remove water spots and swirl marks. Choose a good polish, good tools, and be patient.

That's what I was thinking :) I'm heading to Advance auto parts to get some cleaning supplies for the weekend.

What do you normally use for drying ? Normally I'll get a clean sponge and car wash to wash the car, and then use the absorber to dry the car, hitting any final spots with quick detail and a microfiber towel.

Let me or Dan know if you need any products we have probably close to $1000 worth of waxes, washes, polishes, and accessories in our garage.

Wes that is what I go with to dry the cars. I get the absorber out (I love that thing) and then go over the water it leaves behind with a microfiber. I will have plenty of shit with me at Moroso this Sunday, so maybe I will swing by your car with the duffel bag and see if you need anything! If just in case I cant find you, dont come swinging at the first guy you see quick misting detail spraying your car :D

edit: please know that I am only kidding, I would never touch your car w/o you knowing it... That thing is a beaut! I plan on having a bunch of products with me though, so I will def. swing by to see if you need anything to keep it looking at its best.
