While the belt is off, might as well put in a cam gear on the exhaust side. Can do the intake cam gear also, but supposedly most of the benefit is derived from the exhaust side (~10-15 rwhp).
So you mean just replace the factory gears with like AEMs and adjust them (anyone know the right specs)
I guess it would not hurt to do both intake and exhuast unless intake is not worth doing?!
IS there anything else...anybody?!?
All fluids, plugs, timing belt, and accessory drive belt, water pump, tensioners, cam seals, Exh. Cam gear (intake on gives you ~3hp), Fuel Filter. That's all I can think of.
have you checked out the www.mkiv.com web site? they have the best info .. and you could save alot of money if you do the tranny and diff fluid changes yourself? you can also buy the fluids for less from jeff watson.
I heard the tranny fluid can be had for about $50 for the two liters needed.. vs the $80 a liter or something like that.
I would stay away from Toyota dealerships for service work. Unless warranty work is to be done. Must do not know how to work on our cars! I would check around your area for a performance shop that can do the work. Dealerships will not do performance add-ons. Try www.paisleyautomotive.com also checkout www.mkiv.com for more Supra shops in your area.
